Chapter 36

In the late nights of Serephis Kingdom, a mysterious figure leaped from rooftop to rooftop with expert precision, barely making a noise to wake anyone up.

They held a small handgun in their right hand, the bullets hanging out in the exposed chamber, glistening dimly in the moonlight. His black cloak blew calmly in the wind, and his crimson red eyes glowed brightly as he peered down at the streets.

Turning his head he saw another figure, leaning on a chimney, staring at him with a sly expression.

"Who the hell are you?"

The cloaked, his hand itching for the trigger of his gun, the other figure remained silent for a few more moments.

"Well, you may call me a savior, or a murderer, you can piece it together."

At the moment, the figure leaped at the cloaked man, swinging a punch towards his temple, only for it to miss and allow the figure to load his gun, pulling down his hood to reveal icy white hair.

He then kicked the other figure in the chest, sending him back and exposing his face to the moonlight, which was obscured by a white mask with a moon symbol on the forehead.

"So, you work for the Nightshades?"

The white haired man smirked, pointing his gun at the other person's head. He quickly propelled upwards and landed a critical hit on the other man's chest, before swiping his legs.

"Pretty much."

He said as he dusted himself off, pulling out a small pocket knife and tossing it at the gunned man. He arched his back as if forming a bridge, before shooting his gun at the masked man, the bullet landed, hitting him square in the temple.

"Heh, for all the work they put you through-"

He didn't even finish his sentence, as another powerful blow was thrown his way, hitting him in the head, another powerful hit was landed in his lower gut.

He recoiled as he spat up blood, his body now slightly shivering, not from the cold, but to another source, a powerful one from inside his very body.

He let out a low growl, as his skin turned iron black, and scales formed on his arms and legs like reptilian armor, his short fingernails turned into talons like a hawk, and his 2 eyes that shone red, quickly multiplied on his head, turning into 10 glowing orbs.

"Don't tell me he lost control mid fight..."

The now demon-like man swung around, clawing at the other one's face, the other man bent backwards and kicked him in the legs, only for them to instantly reverberate like a shockwave, sending his entire body backwards and onto the edge of the roof.

The now demon-man walked over to the man and removed the mask from his face, tossing it off the roof, landing in a dumpster.

"Now, you're mine..."

He hissed to the other man, who had brown hair, and long features, who was looking back at him with an expression of fear and concern.

The demon-man put his large, scaly hands onto the other one's face, increasing the pressure and force until the veins across his entire body started to glow a bright blue color, lighting up his demonic features, which were contorted into a maniacal grin.

The other one's gasping and coughing ceased almost instantly, as his body was compressed into a short, frail and wrinkled form, like a dried up worm.

"It seems like the Nightshades really want me dead, too bad their forces are too frail."

He cackled, as his black skin started to revert back to its usual white, and his same colored hair sprouted from his head, and his multiple eyes sunk into his body, he was completely back to normal, pulling up his hood and running away, back into the night.
