3 Months prior

After the monthly audience with their people, Aeon sat in her office going over preparations for their guests with her children, when Leora blurted out "Whats so special about these visitors?" Staring at her daughter intensely Aeon responded "I told you they're holding precious cargo, I have to make sure Arius doesn't kill them". Gale suddenly spoke up "but the defences are always up, only the strong and possibly desperate can make it through, what are you not telling us?" Aeon sighs and replies with a note of finality "I've said all I can, and the rest will be revealed in its own time." They all knew that was the end of the conversation.

Aeon could understand her childrens frustrations, they may not agree on everything, but she acknowledsed they had trained their entire existence in order to protect her and Nova. Now she's asking them to go against that and let strangers in, without proper explanation. She knew they would do it, not only because they loved her but they also trusted her abilities. They just hated being left in the unknown, despite growing wiser because of it.

On the Northern coast the winds were strong enough to cut anything in its path, out in the middle of the sea Cyclones would batter any ship or plane that would try to come within 100 meters of Nova. Gale was often underestimated with her 5'4 pear shaped frame. Her purple eyes and curly shoulder length hair tied in a bun gave her more of a fearsome appearance. Gale could suck the oxygen from any living thing even trees. She is the only one lucky enough to have seen Ignatius in his prime, even supporting him when she was younger making his flames that much more lethal.

The southern coast was like a ship graveyard. Bonzai liked to think he was a swordsman so he made swords out of water and would cut ships in half with one strike, took him years to get it right. He could cause tsunamis with one flick of his wrist, but he liked to be creative. He even befriended some sea creatures. His 6ft muscular frame, chiseled bearded jaw, tan skin, pompadour styled dark blue hair and baby blue eyes made ladies instantly drool over him, even men.

The west side was the darkest side of the Island, you would rarely hear about people landing on that side of the Island because No one knew whether Arius let them live or not. With the exception of his mother, his family sympathised with him being consumed by darkness and death itself. They were sure it made for a lonely existence, he was Leoras exact opposite, yet their techniques were similar. He and Leora put shields over their sides of the island passing through them would mean death. Of course a few meters before that is a barrier which let them know when someone passed through it.

They weren't monsters they gave warnings for people to stop and turn back if they didn't have urgent matters or any reason to dock at the island, if they proceeded then it was their funeral. However Arius's barrier was visible during the day and Leora's at night, at times people would freak out just seeing it and turn away. Arius often scared people off since he was built like a tall bear, yet his Quiff styled hair and extended goatee made him look a little more approachable.

After the meeting with their mother, Leora went to her room on the top floor of her mother's estate. She stripped out of her uniform and took what they call their human form a joke between them all since they weren't exactly normal. Feeling more than relieved in her black skinny jeans, plain white t-shirt and white canvas sneakers. She threw her long black hair into a high ponytail, put some cash in her back pocket and headed on out to the local bar. She almost gained her freedom when at the front door of the estate stood Gale. With a roll of her eyes and a reluctant sigh she quickly muttered "mother said we had to go out more, you can't stop me." Gale replied non chalantly "why would I stop you? we're coming".

Leora looked up in disbelief only now realising Gale was also dressed in casual attire, her beautiful curls were let loose hanging just above her shoulders. Leora asked "What?" But it only came out in a whisper. Gale heard her anyways and responded "I said we're coming, it's not everyday we get a chance to be out together like this and let loose." Not one willing to risk Gale changing her mind Leora smiled brightly and said "alright let's go, where's everyone else?". Gale shoved her thumb over her shoulder pointing toward the door, as they stepped outside the brothers and their partners aswell as Gales husband stood there waiting. Leora was the only one without a partner and kids, she didn't mind being alone and no one ever caught her attention.

At the bar the siblings let loose mingling with the people who came from different sides of the island just for the audience with them and others who lived locally under their mothers guide. Of course no one knew who they really were, by the time they decided to head home. Arius, Banzai and Gale's husband Klaus were were drunk, which was a rare site to see. All the ladies had stopped drinking to keep an eye on them. Except Leora who had Joined them in their silly antics.

It was when they had arrived at the start of the brick driveway to the estate when Klaus yelled he wanted to race back. Gale glared at him and said "you're in no state to race." Klaus slurring his words replied "scome on, itsss gon be fun." It was only a 200m sprint which was nothing to them when sober. Bonzai, Leora and Klaus had oniy just lined up when Arius yelled "Go" and took off. Klaus "hadn't even left the starting line when he let out a loud burp and passed out on the spot. His wife rolled her eyes unimpressed shaking her head.

Arius had made it half way before he stopped to throw up in the middle of the driveway. Bonzai and Leora had laughed hysterically whilst passing him yelling behind themselves "thats what you get for cheating!" Arius on the verge of passing out smirked and let out a low chuckle before heaving more of his stomach contents onto path. Face palming he knew he would hear from their mother for ruining her comtemporary cobblestone.

Leora and Bonzai had made it to the stairs of the entryway before Bonzai had tripped sliding on his stomach and slammed head first into the front door knocking himself unconscious. Leora was in fits of laughter, trying to catch her breath before she checked him for serious injuries. Bonzai seemed to be fast asleep, she laughed some more before using her light to lift him and lay him on the rug in the middle of the living room. His arms and legs were splayed out he resembled a beached whale so she took a picture.

Before she could share it Gale had walked in with an annoyed expression, her husband behind her carried by a mini tornado not strong enough to destroy anything. Following her in was Arius slumped between his wife Hanan and Bonzais wife Hysteria struggling to help him through the door. Leora quickly threw a quilt over Bonzai and used her light to help move Arius to a sofa, she shoo'ed Hysteria and Hanan away telling them to go to bed. Gale just dumped her husband next to Arius and marched upstairs to their room yelling "goodnight" before closing her door.

Leora stared at the two men who ended up hugging eachother in their sleep, laughing she snapped another picture grabbed a large blanket to cover them before sending the pictures to the family group chat. Hearing her phone ding she saw the Ladies had all sent laughing emojis even Gale had seen the funny side to it which made her smile. She knew everyone would sleep easy tonight and that this would be a night they all remembered.
