Ina Pov (Present day)

That guy Arius said I wasn't allowed back in the room, that the next time I saw my father he would be okay. I had no choice but to trust him, I hadn't even seen Lucy once since I was I was escorted out. I decided to go in search of some clothes, he said top floor middle room. Leora was extravagant a massive king sized bed with a canopy. Her bathroom had a spa and sauna the massive shower looked like you could fit 5 people in it, no wonder she rejected my money. We were well off but we weren't this rich, father and I had a small estate we didn't need a big house like this for the two of us. I searched Leora's closet, on one side she had a lot of cloaks I'm sure this is the same one she was wearing now. Do they ever wear normal clothes? Glad I searched through some drawers and found jeans and shirts, I was beginning to think she was a weirdo.

Her waist was slightly wider than mine but she had some shorts that I could fit, this woman even had underwear she had never worn still in the package (lucky for me) I even took a couple pairs for Lucy, we were the same size fortunately for her. After finding a shirt and jumper that were too big for me, I couldn't help but notice the coconut scent that lingered in the room. It made me want to search for the source but I didn't want it to look like I was snooping, so I went back down to my room to shower.

Arius came out after hours of being in the room, I ran to him and asked "please where is Lucy? The red haired woman I came with?" he stopped in front of me and said "Since Lucy is the only doctor available, she won't be able to leave the room." With that he walked away and came back with towels and a bowl of warm water. "I suppose I still cannot go in with you?" Arius didn't respond this time and just walked in closing the door behind him. "I guess not" sighing to myself I decided to look around there was a huge lounge and theatre a lot fo rooms and bathrooms, the kitchen was huge it made we wonder if she entertained a lot.

At the back of Leoras estate was a beach, if it wasn't so late I would have gone out to sit in the sand. But I had to keep busy, sitting still made me worry about my father and everything that came with exchanging my life for his. Does that mean I will have to die? Whatever it means I would never regret my decision. About an hour later I ended up back near the re-sus room, I only knew this cause it had a label above the door. Arius came back out mumbled something about nosey people and then went back in after grabbing a set of clothes and making food. He even left two extra plates on the dining table and said my father should be joining me soon. Baffled but excited and happy I went to the dinning room and waited.

It wasn't long before I heard a familiar voice "Ina?" Looking up from the food on the table I couldn't believe my eyes, my father stood there both legs intact looking as if nothing had hapened. I leapt out of my seat and into his arms "father it really is you!" Happy tears streaming down my face. "Yes it's quite peculiar, you will have to fill me in on what I missed and where we are." I smiled at him "and your leg? How is it?" Lifting the leg of his pants he stared dumbfounded "I could've sworn I watched this come off but there it is right in front of me, not even a scar."

I don't know what happened in that room but, Leora definitely earned my life. We were suddenly interrupted by a deep gruff voice "well now that you're reunited it would do you some good to eat and rest" Before Arius could turn and leave "wait where's Lucy?" Arius seemed annoyed "you will see her in the morning along with Leora Goodnight!." My father called out "I don't know who you are young man, but I will forever be in your debt! Thank you!" Arius stopped without looking back he replied "The debt has been settled, look around you, appreciate what you have. Nothing you knew will remain the same in time, as for the gratitude save it for my sister." With that he went back into the room.

Me and my father sat down and ate the dinner prepared. Arius was actually a great cook, I filled my father in on everything that happened. He was in awe then shock, then he shivered at some of the things Arius had said. At one point he was deep in thought, then he said "so thats what he meant about the debt and nothing being the same. I can't let you give your life for mine, you are so young and have so much life to live. Tomorrow we will ask them to take me instead".

I gave him a stern gaze and replied "No, I don't think that will work she kept her word and saved your life. We must keep ours, to try to give back what she gave would be an insult don't you think?." He whispered "you may be right, but well figure something out" I shook my head "I don't know what it means to exchange my life for yours, I don't know what she intends to do with me. But I will honour this agreement father, after all this is how you raised me." With a sad but proud smile my father said "yes indeed, it was unfortunate for you to be stuck with a father like me" with that he got up from the table ready to retire. I was gonna let father stay in my room but he said that Arius showed him to his own room with one more hug I let him go.

After clearing away our dishes I headed to my own room. It was smaller than Leora's but not by much, everything was white and gold I wondered how they kept things clean here. There weren't any maids or servants that I could see. The bathroom was stocked with everything from shampoo to toothbrushes, I was grateful to be able to freshen up. I jumped under the puffy duvet on the mansion bed and immediately sank into the soft mattress, sighing in satisfaction speaking to no on in particular "this literally beats a bunk bed on a ship any day." It was then I realised I needed to get my belongings from the ship tomorrow, I hope Leora would let me go. My thoughts drifted to how beautiful she looked, shaking my head of these thoughts I snuggled into the pillow and closed my eyes letting slumber take me. Tomorrow was going to be interesting.
