Doctor Lucy

Wow! What a day! I didn't know taking this job would lead me here! Ina was always so passionate about her expeditions, she always came back with new stories to tell. I envied her, life back home became mundane, the same routines at the hospitals even my husband felt the same. So when the opportunity came to earn high income as a doctor on Ina's father's ship I jumped at it. Lucky for me Ina was a childhood friend so she let my husband come too as a deckhand. 3 months and we had already travelled to see four different Islands we were on our way home. Then bloody Julius had to go and get his leg ripped off. It was odd how it happened almost like it wasn't an accident, Julius is always a careful man.

My poor husband must be worried sick, here I am stuck in a room with this creepy Arius. I don't think he's bad at least he fed me. I just have to keep monitoring Leora, I don't envy her but she's a strong woman. I am glad I get to stay here on her side of the Island, but I am worried for my husband and the rest of the crew. I hope Gale? Was it? Is nicer than Arius, he doesn't speak much but he seems to care a lot for Leora, he tries to make it look like he doesn't.

He keeps staring at me, so I decide its time to check her bandages and as I peel them off I'm amazed at least half her leg has already reattached itself the smell is no longer coming from her leg but the bandages. So I grab the warm water and towels and gently clean her leg so the smell goes away Arius looked like he did this often cause he had everything prepared even soap and disinfectant! I neber would have thought that all the medical equipment was meant for her, if I hadn't seen it all with my own eyes. I rewrap her leg and settle back in my seat it's been a long night and the beeping of the monitor almost lulls me to sleep. No sleeping Lucy, I scold myself Arius is watching!

I don't think I should be surprised at anything that goes on anymore. Being teleported from different places, watching Leora heal Julius and how her body is healing itself rapidly right now. Especially after Arius cleaned Julius up before he moved him from the gurney to the bed. Then witnessing him stand up not too long after and converse with Arius, I could only wave to him before going back to watch Leora. He literally walked out on the same leg that was cut in half only hours before.

Arius made me close the curtains around Leora, he was really serious about no one knowing what happened in here, they weren't bad people so the least I could do for them is forget what happened here tonight. "I'll do it!" I blurted out, looking at me with his eyebrow raised in curiosity "I'll forget what happened here tonight." With a smirk Arius responds "I have no Idea what you're talking about, do you Leora?" It's then that I noticed the body on the bed had disappeared. When did that happen? I think to myself.

A hand lands on my shoulder and my face must've shown shock cause there she was standing fully dressed and her cappuccino eyes staring straight back at me. "Thank you Lucy, please let me show you to your room" was all I heard. Before I saw her look up and nod in Arius direction, I turned just in time to see him disappear in the shadows of the corner of the room. Jaws probably on the floor because Leora giggled in the background and murmured "shall we?" I just got up and followed her out, I'm too dayuum tired for this.

She showed me to a lavish room my own bathroom and closet, someone had already laid out clothes for me, must've been Ina. She's thoughtful like that and we are the same size, wow! Clean underwear, thats nice!! I suddenly felt excited about being here, before Leora could close the door I called out to her "Excuse me Leora" She stopped and turned "If it's not too much to ask, when we came I left my husband on the boat…" she half smiled and before I could finish she replied "Describe him to me" a little taken a back I found myself just blurting it out "Hes tall, tanned skin, beard muscular build wearing black pants he has this cute little scar under is blue eyes." Leora just laughed, moving to switch off the light. Then a familiar deep voice says "thats two Leora!" She sighs and says "Yes, now go!" when the lights turn back on my husband's standing there bewildered! "My thanks to you for tonight" Leora says with a wink as she turns and closes the door.

As soon as he lays eyes on me all I see is relief we stand hugging each other for a while. Before he asks "Julius?". "Absolutely fine". I respond "Ina?" He says again "her too!" The answer just pops out louder than I intended due to excitement. He smiles but then his smile drops as he asks "what about Bane?" Concerned I questioned him back "whats wrong?" With a heavy sigh he says "I think Bane is the reason Julius lost his leg." My husband was never on to speculate so he must have proof, so I probed "are you sure?"

He looked me in my eyes and said "the night before, remember I went to relieve myself I heard someone up on deck. I went to see if I was imagining it but Bane was doing something to the rigging. I don't know if he meant for Julius to get hurt but everyone knows the captain checks everything before dropping and lifting anchor" Deep in thought I didn't know how to respond "did he not get taken back to the boat?" Brows furrowed my husband said "he was with you guys, I assumed he was here." I grabbed the clothes and his hand and pulled hum to the shower "Well let's worry about that tomorrow, whatever he is up to he will have a hard time pulling it off with these people".
