"Bane is it?" As I rose from my seat he bowed his head toward me. "Yes, that's my name" something about him seemed off, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. "Do you have a request separate from that of your captains health?" I eyed him skeptically. He got on his knees again "I believe it will do me no good to lie, I have come of my own selfish accord". Gritting my teeth in anger I spat out my next words venomously "of course it is never just one request with you outsiders, you always want more from us. You…" I trail off as my mother raises her hand in a gesture to stop me. "You seek to bring back someone you lost, but you must know it's not possible"
Bane begins to sob out his next words "please, I… know the…re is.. a way." My mother sighs "What you seek cannot be done, the consequences are more than anyone can or is willing to bare." Bane wipes his face then looks up at my mother his face slowly shifting to anger "You of all people should know what I have sacrificed to be here today, Mother of Time. I will not yield! I know what I seek is here!."
My eyes widened as I heard him refer to ma as mother of time! Banzai shot straight up from his chair and stood infront our mother blue eyes blazing his deep voice full of fury "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU! AND HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME!" Bane softened his facial features and raised his hands to show he meant no harm. "Please forgive my temper, I meant nothing by it. I've had a long day and need rest, can we discuss this at a later time?" Mother and Father stand from their thrones and she mind links "go and tend to the guests at Arius docks, we will be fine here."
She addresses Bane and says "it doesn't matter how many times you wish to discuss this. Im sorry for your loss but It cannot and will not ever be done! You must let them rest in peace." It's then Arius decides to finally come out from the shadows, his pure black eyes show his anger. His deep voice rumbles "I invite you to stay with my on the west side of Nova, your little outburst has caught my attention and I feel you need to be watched."
"Don't kill him" I giggle through mind link before dissipating into air whisking myself away in the wind telling my children to head home together.
Heading to the western coast always gave me shivers, kind of ironic since I control air itself. At night it was always darker here than any other part of the island, Arius ability thrived in darkness, he's lived in darkness most of his life. It was no wonder he was so close to Leora her light stops it from consuming him. They have formidable abilities, but I'd never envy them. It's why I have to be so hard on Leora she needs to be more serious about things, mistakes like the ones mother has had to save her from couldn't keep happening. Arius couldn't keep following her all his life!
Seeing the ship snapped me out of my thoughts, as my body materialised a muscular dark skinned man jumped off the ship and approached me. I smirked if I wasn't already married with four children, Id jump this mans bones. Instead I replaced my smirk with a stoic expression, put out my hand and said "I am Gale, I am here to escort you to the Northern docks. The man took my hand turned it palm down and kissed the back of my hand staring me right in the eyes. His deep alluring voice enraptured me.
"I am Calix, third in command it's a pleasure to meet you Gale. Should I get the crew ready?" I raised an eyebrow at him as I replied "You're either quite bold and brave or very Naive and stupid, you saw how I materialised right in front of your ship yet you are not shocked or scared? You ask no questions of me coming to move your ship?".
He laughed, I found it strangely attractive. His perfectly white teeth, neatly tied back dreads and hazel eyes, the way his clothes clung to every muscle. Shit! Pay attention Gale!
"Well I'd like to think I'm a smart man, your beautifully unique purple eyes tell me we couldn't get away with telling you no. Or it could've been the kid that carried the captain out, whom informed me of your arrival and said you mean no harm." He smiled smugly before continuing "As for not being shocked or scared, I've seen people disappear right in front of me. Seekng you appear out of no where is just something I have come to expect."
One thought came to mind MOTHER! With a sour expression I gestured for him to get on the boat as I followed "No need for your crew let them sleep I am sure it's been a long day, I can get us there on my own." He just nodded and went to raise the anchor, I better stay clear of him from here on out. The trip was fairly quick I steered the ship with the wind all the way to my docks, Calix dropped the anchor "I think we shall sleep on the ship tonight, if its safe". He said looking to me for an answer. "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity, if you or your crew decide you need more comfortable lodgings there's an Inn 500 metres from here Goodnight."
I'm about to walk away when Calix grabs my hand. "Only the lonely know how I feel tonight" he says. I suck in a breath, not because he caught me off guard, not because his charm has worked on me, I'm holding my breath in anger. Ripping my hand from his grip and turning around with fury in my eyes, Calix throws his hands up in surrender retreating far enough for his back to hit the side of the ship. Before I can yell at him for offending me, a metal dagger flies through the air and embeds itself into the ship an inch from his head. Oh shit! Klaus is here!
