Chapter 12

Jack returned to his mansion, surrounded by his parents and Daniel. However, guilt consumed him after betraying Aria, so he decided to escape with Ivy for a while. But when news of Aria's death reached the mansion, Allison's joy only heightened Jack's anguish.

Excusing himself, Jack broke down in tears, gazing at Aria's picture and the bandages on his injured arm. He apologized to her image, hoping she was alive and safe somewhere. He confessed to himself that he had reasons for betraying her, but his feelings for Aria were genuine. He regretted lying to her about not liking her, using her, and hurting her.

Overwhelmed, Jack couldn't stop crying as he stared at the wound and reminisced about their rooftop proposal, where Aria gave him a ring he still wore on his left hand. The memories haunted him, a bittersweet reminder of his love and betrayal.

Allison knocked on Jack's door, "Hey, are you okay?" He nodded, forcing a smile, "Yeah, I'm fine." Allison continued, "Your mom wants to see us downstairs. She's planning our wedding." Jack's smile hid his true emotions as he followed Allison.

Meanwhile, Aiden approached his parents with a calculated plan. "Mom, Dad, I have an idea. Since Isa couldn't survive, we can use Aria's resemblance to our advantage. The police won't suspect a thing, and I won't be handed over." His dad was appalled, "Are you crazy? Just because Aria looks like Isa doesn't mean you can use her as a pawn!" Aiden's mom hesitated, "Fine, I'll agree to anything that keeps our grandson safe." Aiden's dad stormed off, leaving Aiden to approach Dr. Max with his plan.

2 months had past, and Allison and Jack are finally married, Allison's wish came true and her dream if becoming a musician owning her own company came true because if Jack. Aria was still in the hospital, Aiden and his Mom wondered when she will wake up. They don't know who is she were she came from, but Aiden's Mom, with the knowing feeling felt that this strange woman looks exactly like her daughter in-law and was surprised to see her.

Aria's eyes fluttered open, groggily taking in her surroundings. Aiden's face came into focus, and he gently removed the oxygen mask from her nose. She tried to speak, but her voice was weak.

"Welcome back, Isa," Aiden said, smiling tenderly.

Aria's confusion deepened. "Who...who am I?" she stammered.

Aiden's family surrounded her bed, his son's eyes wide with excitement. "Mom!" the little boy exclaimed, throwing his arms around Aria's neck.

Aria's gaze darted between the faces, overwhelmed. "I...I don't remember," she whispered.

Aiden's expression was calm, reassuring. "You're Isa, my wife. You've been in an accident, but you're safe now."

Aria's eyes locked onto Aiden's, searching for answers. But her memories remained elusive, shrouded in fog.

The little boy, Aiden's son, hugged her tightly. "I'm so glad you're awake, Mom. I missed you!"

Aria's heart ached, unsure how to respond. She looked exactly like Isa, but her memories were those of Aria.

Aiden's gentle voice guided Aria through the haze. "You're Isa, my wife. We've been married for seven years. This is our son, Elias, and my mother, Amelia."

Aria's gaze wandered between them, searching for familiarity. Elias's smile and Amelia's warm eyes seemed to hold a deep affection, but Aria's memories remained shrouded.

"I...I don't remember," Aria stammered, frustration creeping in.

Amelia took her hand, her voice soothing. "It's okay, dear. The doctor said it's normal to experience memory loss after an accident. You'll remember soon."

Aiden's eyes locked onto hers. "We were in a car crash, Isa. You've been in a coma for weeks. But you're safe now."

Aria's mind reeled, trying to grasp the narrative. "I...I don't remember being married or having a child."

Elias piped up, "Mom, you always read me stories and make me laugh!"

Aria's heart ached, wanting to connect with this little boy who called her "Mom." She forced a smile, trying to play along.

Aiden continued, "We have a beautiful life together, Isa. We'll help you remember, I promise."

As the conversation flowed, Aria became increasingly convinced that she was indeed Isa, Aiden's wife and Elias's mother. Amelia's stories of family vacations and Aiden's tender gestures chipped away at her doubts.

But fragments of her true identity lingered, refusing to be extinguished. Aria's eyes met Aiden's, searching for answers.

"Tell me more," she urged, desperate to fill the gaps in her memory.

Aiden's smile was reassuring. "We'll take it slow, Isa. We'll rebuild our life together, one memory at a time."

As the conversation drew to a close, Aria felt a sense of belonging, of being part of a family. But the whispers of her true self persisted, a gentle reminder that her memories were still hidden, waiting to be uncovered.

Mr. Albert's body shook with sobs as he stood beside the lifeless body of his daughter-in-law, Isa. He had never felt such a deep sense of loss and regret.

"Oh, Isa, my dear Isa," he wept, his voice trembling. "I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you. I'm so sorry I didn't speak up sooner."

He remembered the day Aiden and Isa got married, the joy and hope in their eyes. He had welcomed Isa into their family with open arms, and she had become like a daughter to him.

But now, she was gone, brutally taken from them by Aiden's hands. Mr. Albert's mind replayed the moments he had seen Isa's bruises, her fear, and her pleas for help. He had been blind to the truth, and now it was too late.

"I should have saved you, Isa, I don't deserve to be your father-in-law" he cried, his tears falling onto her lifeless body. "I should have been stronger."

Mr. Albert's grief was overwhelming, his heart heavy with sorrow. He wished he could turn back time, save Isa from Aiden's cruelty. But all he could do now was mourn the loss of his beloved daughter-in-law and seek justice for her tragic death.

Just as Isa was starting to feel a sense of belonging, Mr. Albert, Aiden's father, burst into the room. His eyes narrowed, in shock to find out that his previous daughter in-law looked like this woman. scrutinizing the scene before him.

"Who is this woman?" he demanded, his voice firm.

Aiden's smile faltered, and Amelia's eyes darted nervously to her son.

"Father, this is Isa, my wife," Aiden replied, his voice steady.

Mr. Albert's gaze lingered on Aria, his expression skeptical. "I don't recognize her. Who is she, really?"

Aria's mind reeled, her memories still shrouded. She looked to Aiden for answers, but his eyes warned her to stay silent.

"I...I don't know," Isa stammered, feeling a sense of trepidation.

Mr. Albert's eyes widened in triumph. "I knew it! You're not Isa! You're an imposter!"

Aiden's face darkened, his voice low and menacing. "Father, stop. You're confusing her."

But Mr. Albert pressed on, his words piercing the air. "Tell me, woman, what's your real name?"

Isa's heart raced, her thoughts scrambling. She looked to Aiden, but his eyes seemed to hold a warning. Suddenly, a name echoed in her mind - a name that felt familiar, yet distant.

"Aria," she whispered, her voice barely audible. (Suddenly, she went into shock and the doctor rushed in, at least the family couldn't get a glims of her real time because she fell into shock, doctor Max chase them out)

In the hallway, Aiden and Mr. Albert stood face to face, their voices hushed but intense.

"Father, please," Aiden begged, "you have to support me."

Mr. Albert's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched. "You're asking me to cover up your crimes, Aiden. Isa's death, your manipulating that innocent woman to believe who's not....it's too much."

Aiden's mother, Amelia, placed a gentle hand on her husband's arm. "Dear, think of Elias. Isa's last wish was for us to take care of him."

Mr. Albert's expression softened, his eyes welling up with tears. "Yes, for Elias's sake, I'll agree to your plan. But, Aiden, if you continue down this path, I swear I'll reveal the truth."

Just then, Elias ran down the hallway, throwing his arms around Aiden's waist.

But Aiden shrugged him off, his eyes cold. "Not now, son."

Mr. Albert's warning hung in the air, a threat that could upend their entire scheme. Aiden's eyes darted to his father, a flicker of fear in their depths.

"I mean it, Aiden," Mr. Albert emphasized. "If you hurt anyone else, I'll make sure you go to jail."

Amelia's smile seemed to hide a secret, her eyes glinting with a knowing light.
