Ch 27: Asking Sherlina a Surprising Question

Then Ryan thought of something, where he tried to make Charlotte enter the Reality Marble, then leave Charlotte alone inside.

However, that was impossible, because as soon as Ryan exited the Reality Marble, Charlotte would also be taken along, which made Ryan fail in his attempt to kidnap someone and place that person inside the Reality Marble.

...

Currently, Ryan was in a room, and right in front of him was Sherlina. It had been almost a year since Ryan and Sherlina started to get to know each other.

During this time, they had become closer, one could say they were quite good friends.

Although Ryan often did strange things and said unexpected things, Sherlina didn't mind too much; in fact, she found Ryan quite enjoyable.

"Young Master Ryan, congratulations! Our lesson is now truly over..." Sherlina said with a smile.

"... Is that so." Ryan nodded his head.

"You don't look happy?" Sherlina, noticing this, then asked.

"I am happy." Ryan said he was happy, but with a calm, expressionless face.

"If you're happy, you should smile, like this! Look...?" Sherlina then demonstrated how to smile to Ryan, placing both fingers on her cheeks and forming a beautiful smile.

"I understand..." Then Ryan tried to practice what Sherlina did, but instead of a sweet and charming smile, or a handsome and dignified smile, the smile Ryan made looked more like a forced grin.

It looked more like a villain's smile, with a forced grin, cold, expressionless eyes, and a stiff face, making Ryan truly look like a small-bodied villain.

This made the corners of Sherlina's mouth twitch, and she could only smile awkwardly.

"Do you know? Young Master Ryan, you are the fastest student to learn the basics of nobility among all the students I have ever taught." Sherlina said with a smile, praising Ryan.

"Really?" Ryan asked while tidying up some things on the table, such as notebooks and others.

"That's true, you are the fastest learner, and you are also a very smart student; I am very impressed with your talent." Sherlina said as she was about to drink her tea.

"I understand..." Ryan nodded his head.

"You really don't feel anything, do you? Well, I think we might meet again when you enroll in the Imperial Academy." Sherlina said, looking at Ryan.

"May I ask you something?" Ryan then asked something that surprised Sherlina.

"Of course, what is it?" Sherlina became curious, as Ryan rarely asked anything that wasn't important, which is why she was a bit intrigued about what Ryan would ask.

"Are you married?" Ryan suddenly asked something shocking, and it was clear that Sherlina didn't have time to think and could only stare at Ryan with a strange look.

"Ah! I'm sorry, regarding your question, I want to say something first. Sorry! But you're not my type! I'm really sorry, Young Master Ryan!" Sherlina said, quickly apologizing and rejecting Ryan.

However, Ryan just looked at Sherlina with a strange expression, noticing this, Sherlina quickly realized something.

"Are- are you asking, not because you want to marry me?" Sherlina asked with an awkward expression.

"Of course not, I just wanted to know if you are married or not; you are a good woman, Sherlina, and that's why I don't want you to marry the wrong man." Ryan's words surprised Sherlina.

"No, I'm not married; don't worry, I will choose a good man. When I do get married, will you be able to make time to come?" Sherlina said with a smile.
