The Memory-weaver

Ava's thoughts were consumed by Liam's betrayal as she and Eve made their way through the dark, deserted streets. She couldn't shake the feeling that she had been blind to his true intentions all along, that she had trusted him without truly knowing him. 


"We need to be careful," Eve said, her voice low and urgent. "We don't know who else might be working for the Society." 


Ava nodded, her eyes scanning the shadows. She knew that Eve was right - they couldn't trust anyone completely, not even each other. 


As they approached the Society's headquarters, Ava's heart raced with anticipation. They were taking a huge risk by infiltrating the building, but they had to try. 


"Ready?" Eve asked, her hand on the door handle. 


Ava took a deep breath and nodded. They pushed open the door and slipped inside, their footsteps echoing through the empty hallway.
