Showdown (Part 4)

"How much longer till you're ready, Druid of Night Silver?"

"About four more minutes. The magic here has been fighting against me for a while making it more difficult. Can 6 of you hold out that long, with that gear?"

"Four minutes?" Nekonyan stuttered for a moment, looking around. "There's no time to think. Several of these dragons are already gone." He nodded. "As long as the other dragons here remain friendly after we can keep you safe for four minutes. About the range of that spell… is your length 3 times correct?"

"Yes, 90 meter radius around the target. The inner 30 will be deadly."

"Alright, let's run interference. Attack plan C."

"Oh, that's a fun one. But can that…"

"No time for questions. The Night Silver Druid is the strongest caster. If she can't do it, no one can. Now break!"

"Ohh! Fine!"

5 of the 6 guild members took up a flying "V" formation with the guildmaster Nekonyan taking point. Alah Alaf went to the nearby dragon corpses one by one. He would check the condition and then attempt to cast True Resurrection. However, it didn't work.

"Huh, is it because my magic didn't work? Or is it that I'm limited in my tier similarly to The Druid of Night Silver…" Alah Alaf murmured. "It shouldn't be that since I did feel my magic activate. I'll have to try again when I get the chance. But I can't use mana so freely while in the middle of a fight."

As Alah Alaf came to conclusion… He heard someone shouting.

"Get out of there!"

Alah Alaf turned to see a dragon flying right at him. It wasn't attacking him. No, it had been thrown by the dragon emperor and just so happened to head in his direction. "I want to move but I can't? Why?"

Then the platinum colored dragon flew over in a mad dash, grabbed the human he saw and kept going. Not worried about breaking the human in the process. "After all, no one who can cast stuff like that should die to a little rapid movement, right?"

"Phew… Alright, 3 minutes left everyone! Limit Breaks now!"

The 5 in the formation began radiating pillars of colored lights. And their presence grew more intimidating. The platinum dragon sat the 6th person down gently.

"Thanks for that…"

"I was just repaying the favor…" The platinum dragon said his tone clearly full of hurt feelings. "2 and half minutes now right?"

Alah Alaf nodded "That's right. You picked that up quickly." And a 6th colored beam of light shot up. "I have to join the others now. Thank you for saving me." He finished saying and then started flying over to his friends.

"This fight is hell." The dragon mused looking at his dead siblings. "Were we wrong to fight father over this? Or… No, there's no time. I'm going to do it. Wild magic comes at a cost but … This is the time it should be used. If father was at full strength or the lack of these mighty allies… I doubt we could have won. If only the great mother had joined us. That would have changed things…"

This dragon started to perform an act. It caught his siblings and even his father off guard. A sense of power overwhelmed the area he occupied. And the faint whispers of dragons roaring unwilling to die the way they did. Risking it all for a final gambit. None of them were worried about reincarnation. They knew dying to the emperor dragon wouldn't allow resurrection, no matter how much they wanted to. Their resolve to see this battle through to the end filled the young dragon with emotion.

"Brother! TAKE IT! KILL HIM!"

"Brother! Use everything! Don't worry about us!"

"Brother… Father is a menace blinded by the desire for more power."

"Brother…"

"Brother…"

The voices were of his deceased siblings. Their souls convert themselves into a mighty power, combining together. This continued until the very last one.

"You know what to do little brother… Please help us land one more good hit in. And fire… You know what to do… SO DO IT!"

The energy swirling around the young dragon's mouth finished swelling in power. The power of a few dozen True Dragon Lord Soul's all hyper compressed. It was nearly ready to fire.

Another dragon came down and landed near the now 6 humans. His scales shined with a brightness akin to the shine of the sun.

"Once that attack fires it will cause massive damage to our father. Be careful. My little brother is still inexperienced and might hit friendlies if the father moves."

"So… You're saying that if the big lug can't move then everything would be fine, right?"

"Hmm, possibly. But it's too risky. Getting hit by that attack would mean the end of you."

"Oh, That won't be our problem."

The six guild members smirked, each of them knew exactly what to do and nodded. All 6 of them began summoning what amounted to hoards of creatures. All with various effects and special abilities.

"Summon 10th Tier…!" x6

First thing that appeared were two seraphim, followed by a doom lord, followed by high elementals of water, earth, fire. With their orders they charged forward. Each claiming a part of the dragon to hold onto.

Through a combined effort they were able to hold the dragon emperor relatively still. But it wasn't quite enough just yet. So in response to this, Night Silver gave another order to her golem. Which very quickly reappeared, leaving the items it had taken away from the fight underground so no one but Night Silver could grab them.

"Everyone! Clear out! I'm firing directly after. It's ready."

"FATHER YOUR PURSUIT OF POWER HAS LED TO YOUR DESTRUCTION!" The young platinum dragon yelled.

"You wouldn't fire at your own father. We're family. And I also thought you turned out the best."

"VENGEANCE OF SOULS!"

A solid beam of powerful dragon's breath enhanced by some weird soul magic, shot from the platinum dragon's mouth. The center of the beam gave off the hint that it was as if light had become solid. Swirls of draconic shapes spiraled around the center. 36 of them in total. The sounds they emitted were heart wrenching and over lapping.

The beam made its way towards the emperor dragon…
