Calm Between Chaos (Part 4)

The adults, hearing Night Silver's words, sat down and eagerly awaited the reciting of the poem.

"I suppose I should tell them now. Perhaps if it's conveyed now, there will be less of a chance of it being forgotten."

Night Silver, fighting off the sleep began once again. Each of the adults carving it into their mind, body & soul as they listened intently. A few felt sleepy but then quickly realized how effective it was as a result of that. With smiles, the elves went off to do their assigned jobs. And… Other things, dragging their man away to take care of it.

Night Silver went to sleep for about 30 minutes before her senses woke her up. Sensing the approach of the dragons she got up slowly, making sure to not wake the children. She got properly dressed and fixed up her appearance, then moved to leave. Turning to the children sleeping soundly, "I'll protect this peace so you may continue to dream" she whispered with a smile.

"A world free of pollution, let's keep it that way. And the next issue to resolve… Safety & Security."

Night Silver walked out of the shelter and met up with the other gods. Her appearance was enough to give a mild understanding of the situation.

"So, they are almost here, huh?"

"That's right. Quite annoying, I was enjoying my nap."

"Right… Anyway, everything seems to be ready for their arrival. But, we aren't exactly sure what dragons eat… And if we want to…"

"Establish a friendly relationship, we need to give them something that proves our worth. But if we do that, then how do we prove that it's worth teaching the people they still have?"

"What do you mean, exactly?"

"Well, we should have the people prepare the food. A way to prove that it's better to keep them alive. It might seem small, but all creatures should calm down, even if only a little, when their bellies are full."

"Hmm, And if it's delivered by the people who have learned to cook, then we increase the chances those the dragons have kept from us, survive."

"Yeah, right now we should treat them as hostages. And we should also prepare enough space to accept all of them just in case the situation deteriorates."

"That's a worrying prospect… Are you able to handle moving all of them?"

Night Silver gave the god of wind a look.

"Sorry, that was a stupid question. No one could handle that. Even a World level boss wouldn't be strong enough to handle that. Not against enemies that would actively target their charge."

"Well, it's more like I'd rather not do all that. Or have you forgotten the amount of work it takes just to take care of 2000 people? We're already struggling. And I doubt I'll manage to perform to the best of my ability while my mana is drained. Making 10 times as many shelters isn't going to be easy."

"Hmm, you're not wrong about that… And you're the only one here who doesn't need to worry about mana reserves…"

"It really is too much. That's the reason I didn't slap you for making that deal. It's our only path. We can only do so much after all. And, while I like being alone more than anything. It's not like I don't understand the meaning and importance behind friendship."

The god of wind was momentarily surprised. And then he wondered something, accidentally asking the question.

"So, did you make friends in Yggdrasil then? I'd assumed you were a solo-player for a reason."

"I did have some friends. Some of the best friends a player could ask for. A shame they didn't appear in this world with us. A few dragons wouldn't be a problem. Though they weren't the typical guild, they were much better than those bastards in trinity."

The god of wind gulped as the names of guilds came to mind. And then one came to mind, it was only one that fell in line with Night Silver's ideals… A group of role players, boasting some of the craziest things in the game. Along with one of the best players…

"Ainz Ooal Gown? Was that the guild? They killed us a couple of our members a while ago. Back before they fell from the top rankings."

"Hmm, they tried to kill me once before too. But I turned the situation around on them before they got the chance to attack me. And we ended up becoming friends. They're actually not bad dudes, very friendly even. They just really liked role playing. It was them I'd team up with to defeat some of those crazy bosses out there."

The god of wind sighed, then shrugged.

"Well, not like I care about it. The game is a game. We're all from that hell hole of a place. So let's work together and protect ourselves in this world. I may not be a druid like you are, but I am keenly aware of how important nature is. That fresh breakfast this morning was fantastic. I want everyone to have the luxury of such foods…"

"Luxury? That shouldn't be a luxurious thing. It should be the standard. What we ate all those years… A terrible nutrient paste… I still remember the taste…"

The gods murmured about the past. Then they sensed the dragons too.

"Wow, if they are moving that slow… Sister Nature you've got a hell of a range."

"Oh? That, I sent out summons to track their location and ensure nothing happened to the people. Which reminds me…"

Night Silver looked at some of the maids and Mr. Paws.

"Yes milady?"

"Prepare for some births. I have a sneaking suspicion we have migrators on the verge."

"Understood, water will be boiled at once and clean cloth will be ready."

"If it's not a problem, I'd like to help with this matter. My magic could prove effective and there are a few spells I believe we should try. Besides that, I am the god of life, right?"

Night Silver and the god of water looked at each other, having a full on conversation with their eyes. The god of water giggled, Night Silver sighed with an annoyed pout.

"Uhm? Is that supposed to be some sort of womanly intuition over there?"

The god of life asked, shuffling around a little, confused.

"Oh, we were just discussing how she and I should be there to help out. And she got all nervous because of what she used to be."

"I may have gotten used to being a woman now, but that doesn't mean I want to see, that. Though you're right, I should be there for my kin. And I can use my own spells to help with their recovery."

The god of life was still confused.

"So uh, am I a part of the team or not?"

"Yeah, it'll be good to learn about that process. Just don't go making it weird, alright? We already have enough problems as it is."

Tsa appeared in a nearby clearing then walked the rest of the way to meet the gods.

"I have brought the 18000 people and the 4 others who helped guide them over here."

Night Silver sensed that the truth had been spoken.

"Good, then you'll be able to see how we intake all of our kin. And if you're hungry, some cooks have started preparing dragon sized portions of food. I'm sure it'll be to your liking."

The god of wind explained taking charge, while remaining on guard.
