4. Kakashi- Anything wrong with Guy?

(Guys, If we reach 200 Powerstones before Sunday, Then Double Release on Monday! So, Give your all~)

Yukio could be seen doing some complex chakra control exercises while standing on the water of a lake. Miyuki was discharging electricity into the pond. Each time she did that, a red light flashed on Yukio's boots. Yes, Yukio was currently wearing boots, not shinobi sandals, for this exercise.

"Damn, it really is hard. My control over lightning not only starts to fade when I cover more water area, but it also becomes too hard to control in just a small area," Miyuki said.

"It is hard, but after this, nobody will be able to hurt you with a water-electric combination... probably," Kakashi theorized.

Kakashi could be seen trying to burn a leaf, clearly training his fire nature transformation.

"Kakashi, don't you have your Anbu duties?" Yukio asked without looking at him.

"I applied for a break today," Kakashi replied without looking away from the leaf.

"Old man Hokage granted it?"

"Well..." Kakashi paused.

*FLASHBACK NO JUTSU*

After reluctantly paying the bill at the barbecue shop, Kakashi made his way to the Hokage Tower

. He scaled it and knocked on the window, feeling too lazy to take the usual route through the receptionist. Plus, the Old Man Third didn't really mind.

He did feel someone's gaze on him when he knocked on the door, likely the Anbu protecting the Hokage. Over the past year, he had completed many Anbu missions—so many that he became the Anbu captain with the most missions on record, not counting the retired members and the Anbu commander.

Well, the Anbu commander wasn't an Anbu captain, so he didn't count.

Anyway, Kakashi mostly did solo missions and wasn't assigned a team due to his 'mental state' being deemed unstable by the Yamanaka Anbu responsible for these affairs.

That didn't stop him from doing back-to-back missions, almost as if he was trying to kill himself. Well, he had a team now.

This was why he was often given babysitting duty for Naruto whenever possible by the Third.

"Come in. You should enter by the door, you know."

"Lord Third, good afternoon," Kakashi bowed.

"Now, now, no need to be formal, Kakashi."

"Oh, understood," Kakashi said.

"Old man, I came to inform you about something." This caused Hiruzen to twitch slightly, though only the hidden Anbu noticed. Well, Kakashi noticed too but decided to ignore it.

Hiruzen certainly hadn't meant for Kakashi to be this informal as if he was his secret grandson or something.

The latter was not true—Hiruzen was very loyal to Biwako.

Or so it seemed.

Back to Kakashi.

"Oh, did something happen? I did hear about Yukio walking around dressed 'inappropriately' in public. Is it related to that?" Hiruzen asked. He had spilt his tea when the Anbu reported this to him.

"Hmm, no, it's not related to that." 'Did he actually walk in public in only his underwear?' Kakashi wondered.

"Oh, is it related to Guy shouting that he's going to read yaoi just like you?" Hiruzen asked again.

"Guy reads yaoi?" Kakashi felt like he had just been told the biggest joke of his life.

"You don't know? He was saying that he reads it to understand you better."

"What?" Kakashi shivered, his imagination running wild.

"Anyway, what did you want to inform me?" Hiruzen ignored Kakashi's growing discomfort.

"Ah, yes. I'm retiring from Anbu for the foreseeable future," Kakashi regained his composure, deciding to ignore Guy's interests.

"What? Why?" Hiruzen almost dropped his pipe.

"I'm taking a long break. I need to become the Hokage."

"You need to become the Hokage? Why?" Hiruzen was not expecting this. Well, he had planned to make Kakashi the next Hokage and retire, but he knew the likelihood of Kakashi accepting this position was low, so this genuinely baffled him.

"I need to pay my debts to my Sensei and my teammates. I think this is the best way to do it," Kakashi spouted nonsense on the spot.

"Hmm, okay, so why do you need the break if you're going to become the Hokage?" Hiruzen was not convinced by Kakashi's explanation, as he could easily identify when someone was bullshitting, having done it plenty himself.

"I need to train and reach S-rank quickly. My goal is to reach A-rank by the end of this year." This time Kakashi wasn't lying. His previous calculation of reaching A-rank hadn't taken into account quitting Anbu and training continuously like there was no tomorrow.

"That... is ambitious. Very well. You are granted a break for the foreseeable future. Just let me know when you need to apply the techniques you've learned, and I'll assign you a mission." Hiruzen really had no reason to deny Kakashi a break, seeing as he was determined to train.

Any effort to keep him from it would be pointless, so Hiruzen didn't waste any and let him be.

"Thank you, Old Man." With that, Kakashi left.

*FLASHBACK NO JUTSU END*

"Well... I somehow got it. The Old Man didn't really question much about it," Kakashi completed his previous statement.

"Woah, maybe the Old Man Third really likes you if he gave you a break that easily," Miyuki said.

Kakashi just rolled his eyes, not saying anything in reply.

"Now that I think about it, do you guys..." Kakashi hesitated before asking.

"What is it?" Yukio asked, still focusing on his chakra control exercises.

Kakashi gulped and looked away from the leaf, looking at the two. "Do you guys know anything wrong with Guy these days?"

Yukio, who was standing on the water, lost his footing and fell into the water.

Miyuki, after hearing Kakashi's question, unconsciously increased the output of electricity.

The lake was completely electrified, shocking Yukio. Luckily, he had created a bubble of water chakra just as he entered the pond, preventing the electricity from reaching him. Instead, it conducted through the outer surface of the bubble. Otherwise, he probably would have died.

"Damn, that was close. I thought I was going to see the Shinigami today," Yukio said as he came out of the lake.

"Sorry about that," Miyuki said briefly.

"It's fine." Yukio understood exactly why this happened, so he didn't blame her.

"Anyway, is something wrong with Guy? It doesn't seem like anything could be wrong with him," Yukio said suddenly.

"Yeah, he seems too youthful to be affected by anything," Miyuki caught on to what Yukio was trying to do.

"You guys..." Kakashi said almost in a whisper, but the other two felt a chill down their spines.

"Yup, we're screwed," Miyuki said. She quickly weaved hand seals, lightning crackling around her body, and turned around, ready to bolt.

Just as she was about to take a step, she noticed a kunai landing near her foot.

"Where are you guys going? You have to face the consequences," Kakashi's calm tone didn't help the situation.

"We could talk, you know," Yukio tried to diffuse the situation, knowing that his movement techniques wouldn't help him outrun Kakashi.

But before he could say anything more, he had to duck as a kunai covered in blue chakra flew through the spot where his head had been.

He quickly dipped his hand into the water and then clashed it against Kakashi's sword.

A lightning-covered sword and a fast stream of water rotating around Yukio's palm met.

"So, this is the technique you created last year. It's worthy of being A-rank," Kakashi said in a low tone, devoid of emotion, scaring Yukio.

Before Yukio could say anything, he was kicked in the gut and thrown like a rag doll across the lake, mid-air he changed the orientation of his body, landing against a tree, perpendicular to its surface.

As soon as he landed, he spat a compressed water ball that made Kakashi tilt his body, slowing him down.

"It wasn't my fault! It was all Miyuki!" Yukio threw Miyuki under the bus.

"You're both equally responsible, I can tell," Kakashi said, weaving hand seals.

Two Water Dragons emerged from both of them, but Yukio's dragon easily overpowered Kakashi's, almost effortlessly. The water of Kakashi's dragon combined with Yukio's jutsu, increasing its power.

"Maybe you should copy jutsus from people after you've completed nature transformation for all elements," Yukio commented.

Kakashi remained unfazed and weaved hand seals as the gigantic water dragon rushed toward him.

His expression remained unchanged as if he were taking a leisurely walk.

The sound of a thousand birds chirping could be heard.
