within few minutes of fighting; he got speared that led to his dead in few hours later,
also her big brother Yai Aguer was captured by Gelweng arms soilders of (SPlA) in
1996 while he was cultivating in their farm in Wunraak, Abiem West, Aweil East. Yai

failed to give full Confirmation that he has died; in which his family have no any
information about him until 2023, when eye witness finally revealed Yai died in
Pariak military camp before people were transferred to Ethiopia.
Akon herself attended cattle camp in her teenager during British colonial of Sudan,
she didn’t attends schools, in their time girls were not allowed to attend studies, girls
were kept in cattle camp until they grown up-to they reach their 20s, and that was
when they’re ready for married, where their parent asked dowries of about 50 or 60
cows for marring a single girl, at her 20s in 1970s; she got married to Garang Chuor
Loch from (Panguet Pan Loch Awin-bek) in yargot, Abiem West and she was taken
to her home in yargot were she gave births to her children such as, Garang Garang,
Agot Garang, Loch Garang, Chuor Garang, Dut Garang, Adhel Garang, and her
lastborn Deng Garang the author of this book.
She lived in her happily family until they had differences with her husband Garang
Chuor Loch, and that was when she went back to her family home and her husband
got married to his second wife until the time when her husband Garang Chuor himself
went to his farms in south-west of Aweil where he lived there for some year and
sometime he come home for visiting his children.
Later; in some years ahead five children had died due to causes of some diseases effected
people back in early ages when there were no enough hospitals, this cause her five of
her children died in their different years, and only two children were born later in
1990s, were girl and boy, she was very pleased to raise them in right way, so they could
be good people later in their life. She also got responsibility of her mother (Agel kuol Majok Yel) and her big sister’ until
Ageldit her finally days of departure in 2016 in her oldest age at 115 years old. here are
things Akon was good at:
She was Great-woman and known for her skill of songs listening back in the village,
she was a good Samaria and a dancer, she has senses of humor. She is now alive and
grateful for all she did to her two children in which her lastborn is now an
entrepreneur, digital marketer, Public-relation, Author and Philosopher.
She looks up’ and saying” I did enough to my children and finally I’m retired, it’s up
to my children to whether try earning their own living for I didn’t have enough energy
again.
The lastborn is grown and his sister got married long time ago in 2009; nobody will
blame me, she raised them already. Particularly anything that was likely to effect The
future of her two children, she was opened reminding them to kept awake with
modern way of life.
At that ages, she had been unable to sleep, rather than imagine and pray for brighter
future of her children, at midnight her brain bursting urgent in half-formed thoughts;
and she believe that one child specially the boy was heading to his brighter tomorrow;
but in the end she want to teach her son how to be nicest person to his big sister and
for all people around him later.
She was excited by how much work her son does to host himself when he was in exile,
after she maintain her high interest of wanting her son back when he completes his
studies’ an overwhelming to talks on phone calls, sending voice notes, to asked her
son if he’s getting ready to come back home; at least none of coming of her son has
effect in family
Her big sister who has been abandon by her son and her husband was having good
time with her at her home when her son failed to take care of his mother, Akon herself
took responsibility of her big sister who has mental disorder.
After few years later her big sister died of the same illness follow their mother (Ageldit)
that was when her sister’s son told Akon’s family that after his mother died, then he
has no longer related to Akon’s family. Meanwhile he phones calls Akon her son and
asked him for help; Akon her son who was in the exile meanwhile He told Akon’s
family in the village that they’re no longer relatives after his mother died.
Akon was surprised about how her big sister’s son divided family that half of family are
not related to him while another family member on aboard are related to him, asking
herself ‘is this my sister’s son okay’ the story was very surprised to hear’ in which Akon
took matter in her hands and asking her son on board to be opened about behaviors
of her sister’s son toward her family and for safety of her son in the exile.
Apparently she has warning receded in her mind as this was negativities, she didn’t ask
anyone to help her out of cruel behaving of her sister’s son; she treats it as negative and
it was not effect vicious cycle of her family.
In front of her, at least’ her son Deng, her daughter and grandchildren; she was very
pleased with all her presents and grateful for everything.
She invested on her son to become strongest child than any children in his generation,
so her son Dengdit will write their history later for next generation’s inspiration, she
used her tactics of making her son one in trillion and one of his own kind in his
generation. Akon raised her two children girl and boy who were born in 90s, with help of her
brother and her mother Agel kuol majok' Agel kuol was having everything at times,
she has many cows' her household was stronger ever at time, in which she raised
relatives kids and her grandchildren' Agel Kuol has involved herself in renaming her
grandkid lasborn Deng' because there were dispute over his name, when his mother
Akon rejected the name called Deng because the name seemed to his uncle Deng
Chuor Loch' who happened to have dislike on each other; Akon said" I don't want to
hear any name called Deng in my children' Ageldit response’ it is their names and you
can't denied it' he will be called Deng' a lot of maternal relatives came up with different
names included Bull names' in which they called him' behind the will of his clan ' after
he grows up at age 6 his grandmother Ageldit told the boy' your legal name' is Deng
Garang' never uses any name you heard from people' I love to see you back to your
clan and your home' you belong to Akanyjok Deng Arual' when you are grown' go
home and start rebuild your home since your father abandoned and left your mother
in my hands and spend time alone' your father paid so many cows to me when he took
your mother in which I will never turn blind eyes to his previous effort previously'
you belong in there' I was raising you' you may help when my house is down but go
home" there's still two of your uncles' Deng Chuor Loch and Chuor Chuor Loch are
still there' go and meet them" there a lot of relatives from your father his side in marial
Akanyjok' get to know them all like you did know relatives from your mother her
sides' if you experience misbehaving toward you from here' go home' that's where you
belong' Agel kuol did explained everything to her grandson Dengdit, after Dengdit
grew up he went meet all his relatives and uncles' one uncle Chuor Chuor Loch was
actually a coolest person' he went to him spend time together, telling him family
background and history. Dengdit claimed his legal name' after he is grow up and use
his legal name in all his IDs. Akon also has sense of raising her children with intention to make them wins in their
life, sometime she told them sit together advices them to supports each other; my
children you don’t need to hate each other so much’ you are siblings, you must know
that’ special you Dengdit stop being so bitter on your sister’ you two should not
practicing helping each other’ that how we were raised by your grandmother Ageldit’
you just two but we were many but we share everything together’ learn to stay
together and share foods, siblings are forever; friends are for time being, never prefer
your friends over your sibling this are two different, you do everything to sibling that’s
worth it, you do everything to your friends and left out your sibling that goes on
regrets.
Akon also had to advice some of her relatives how to raising successful kid, Wise, kid
with great sense, intelligent, smart, she told her friends when I raise Deng as a kid, I
advise him to stood firm in everything, I told him; you are free do everything but
never invited problems to yourself for I will never stand with you in a trouble you
caused, make what make sense, be hard working since your father is not there to get
your back when you are about to fall, you have to stand alone and do anything, wake
up earliest even if there’s nothing you are going to do, if you refused to let go of your
studies after all back drops’ you have to keep going, complete it, I can’t do anything
my son but I will always give you advice, I noticed when he bought his first bicycle at
his teenager, he bought his five goats at his teen, I understood he is very powerful and
he could overcome any difficulties based on how I trained him, he was also born with
god given wisdom, he sometime give me an advice’ I wondered where he learned all
he told me.
