{You have activated active skill: Spear Thrust!}

In one smooth motion after shrugging off the grasp of the humans, the skinny skeleton thrust forward at the wall with the suddenly shiny bone in his hand.
His hand thrust with so much force that a mini sonic boom was induced.
The bone was no spear but at this moment, Clinton was able to wield it like one.
The bone hit the wall, and then…
KABOOM!
Force was transferred, and the wall collapsed.
“…”
“…”
“…..!”
Clinton’s eyes almost popped out of their sockets as he saw the scene that suddenly played out before his eyes as his current reality.
‘H-how? What the f*ck!’
‘Did I just do that?!’
‘Did I just tear down the walls of this cave with a single strike?’
The mere thought of it sent tingling feelings of excitement through his bones.
This was no simple achievement.
Afterall, this was not any cave in the decaying forest. This cave was the home and lair of one of the most destructive and sturdy existences in the decaying forest, a level 5 Stone Ogre.
The fact that the Stone Ogre made this cave its home only meant one thing, and it was the fact that the walls of the cave were sturdy enough to withstand the sheer force and power of its movements.
Such a cave was not something that a mere level 5 skeleton like Clinton was supposed to be able to do, yet here he was, doing exactly that.
Instinctively, Clinton’s eyes darted towards his skeleton hands. ‘It’s them’. He stared at the 2 new weapons in his hands. ‘It’s Magedon!’
In the process of going to the world of light to check for better resources to craft a weapon and the eventual encounter against the humans, he already lost all his weapons that he crafted and accumulated for a long time.
Clinton was literally defenseless a few seconds ago but at this moment, with these 2 bones in his 2 skeleton hands, Clinton no longer felt inadequate.
For some reason, he felt that these 2 bones were all that he needed to survive the treacherous world of this dungeon where his soul was banished to.
For a moment, a sense of pride blossomed in his heart.
For just a moment, Clinton entertained a thought. ‘With this much power, why not take on the humans, annihilate them, and get my revenge?’
‘Shut up, you foolish bastard!’ He barely had the thought when he screamed in his mind, reprimanding the origin of the thought.
Clinton had no delusions about his power.
Despite the fact that the Stone Ogre lasted so long against the humans, in the end, it never had any chances of winning, only its bountiful health points and its sturdy stone shell enabled it to survive that long.
No matter how much weaker a human was to a monster, he did not believe that any of the monsters in this dungeon could pose a threat to these humans, definitely not level 10 and above humans.
This was why at this moment, despite the brief moment when his pride became bloated, he was able to calm down and ground himself back in reality.
The moment that Clinton decided to live again, he got a will.
Like they say, when there’s a will, there’s a way.
This thought became the foundations of a plan in his head. Clinton’s plan was straightforward and simple enough; craft a new powerful enough weapon, kite the humans, use the bought time to hunt down the level 5 monsters.
Like he just confirmed now, his new weapons were just enough to tip the scales of power difference between him and the apex predators of this forest.
While planning, in his head, he hoped that by hunting down enough level 5 monsters, he would be able to level up to become the first level 6 monster in this dungeon.
Originally, the old Clinton would have gone ahead with the plan immediately but this time, he had misgivings.
After suffering so many setbacks in quick succession, Clinton was no longer confident in everything going exactly as he wanted them to.
In this world, he was no longer that celebrity who had everything he wanted.
In this world, luck was no longer on his side.
In this world, he was ugly, weak, and incredibly unlucky. This was why no matter how unlikely it sounded; Clinton decided to take into consideration the possibility of not being able to level up to level 6.
Afterall, all the monsters in the decaying forest were stuck at level 5, what if it was some form of restriction in this level of the dungeon?
Maybe it was just unnecessary paranoia, but Clinton was unwilling to let go of the possibility. This was why he improvised and created a contingency plan.
His contingency plan was nothing complicated.
In the case that he couldn’t level up, he would take his battle against the level 5 monsters as warm-up, training to get used to wielding his new weapon so he could take on the 1 true apex predator of the decaying forest, the gate guardian.
The gate guardian was his ticket to leave this level of the dungeon.
And no matter how miserable his system was, Clinton was confident that killing a gate guardian should give him some rewards.
This would help him get even more powerful to survive in the case that the second level of this dungeon was even worse and more dangerous than the decaying forest.
All the while, his plan was on hold because he did not have the catalyst he needed to move it forward yet, his new weapon.
But now, his new weapons were finally born.
“…”
“…”
“…..!”
“W-w-what just happened?” One of the humans who came forward to grab the target stammered as he stared at the hole in the cave with widened eyes.
Just like Clinton was stunned at the power that he was suddenly able to exert, the humans were shocked, maybe even more shocked than he was.
To them, this was completely illogical.
Having clashed against the undead skeleton once already, they knew how weak it was, so how on earth did it suddenly become so powerful?
All these thoughts didn’t matter though. Thinking was for later, right now, this undead skeleton needed to be captured before it could cause more mayhem.
“Don’t let it escape!”
“Capture it!”
“I’m here, it won’t harm us”.
Despite the fact that the humans were unsettled at first, hearing their commander’s orders, they quickly regained their composure and moved.
But they were just one step too slow…, Clinton was already on the move.
He moved, following the mental map in his head.
His destination was east of the decaying forest, the vicinity where one of the apex predators of the forest roamed, the level 5 Evolved Green Goblin.
