Trial By Seven: Prelude II

(Third Person POV)

The Man looked at Baelon with a scowl, "What did you say?" He said seriously, "You will regret that."

"I doubt it." Baelon said as he crossed his arms, "But we will see."

"You will die today, Prince Baelon Targaryen." Eryn said, "Everyone will see that. Your blood will stain the ground, your guts will be exposed for everyone to watch in horror. You are a dead man."

"Is that so?" Baelon asked, "Well, like I said, I doubt it. I take it you are one of the bastards that Trevor was speaking of. Your white hair and stupid eyes give it away so easily....also that pompous attitude of yours. Let me tell you one thing, Bastard.....that is all you are ever going to be. And if you wish to wield your blade against the crown, you will die."

Eryn lowered his blade, "I am of Dragon's Blood." He said seriously, "It is my birthright to be on the same level as you Targaryens."

"No, it is not." Baelon said, "You should have stayed in Essos."

Eryn took a step forward but was cut off by someone clapping. This caused everyone to look to the side, to where the clapping was coming from.

"Alright, alright, alright." A voice said, "That is enough."

Baelon saw that a slim man was leaning against a wall, one with clearer white hair that was combed back. His eyes were also purple, as clear as Baelon's. This, for whatever reason, unsettled the Prince as he could easily tell that this man was also of Valyrian descent.

Eryn looked at the man, "Daron." He said, "You are here as well."

The slim man took a step forward and began to walk towards where Baelon and Gwayne were, "Forgive my brother." He said, "He is but a fool."

Baelon looked at him, "And you are?"

"I am Daron...." He said, "Also, a Targaryen Bastard."

Gwayne looked at Baelon, "Do you know something about this?" He asked Baelon, "They claim they are just that...."

Baelon eyed Daron up and down, scanning him intently, "Hm..." He said, "Whose sons are you?"

Daron smiled slightly, "Now, wouldn't you like to know?" He said, "Prince Baelon Targaryen, son of Viserys I, Grandson of Baelon The Brave. No matter how you look at it, we are Kin. And we will fight against each other, no? Tell me, boy.....would you be so willing to be branded as a Kinslayer."

Baelon took a step forward and got closer to him, causing the men next to Eryn to place their hands on their blades.

"Kinslayer?" Baelon said with a raised eyebrow, "You are no Kin of mine. I don't even know whose sons you are. Why would I worry about something so foolish?"

"Whoa...." Daron said with a smirk, "Scary.....you are so much unlike your Father, The King. You have a temperament similar to your Uncle."

"Enough of this." Baelon said, "Bring the rest of you out. Trevor, Harwin, and whoever else is going to fight with you. I have grown tired of this, I am ready to fight."

"Restless, too." Daron chuckled, "You need to learn how to be patient. So willing to rush to your death?"

"The ones that are rushing to their deaths are you dumb fucking idiots." Baelon scowled, "I have grown tired of this."

Daron turned around, "Very well." He said, "If that is what you wish."

"We'll kill you today, I suppose."

**********

King Viserys walked inside the Courtyard, noticing the men that were gathered around Eryn and Daron. The Kingsguard got alerted by the presence and got ready for anything, placing their hands on their swords' handles as the King made his way towards his seat.

"Now...." Viserys said, "I wonder what all of this is...."

Baelon Targaryen had walked towards the edge of the arena, already grown restless, "Father...." He said as Viserys walked past him, "Where is he?"

"Take it easy, son." Viserys said, "They are bringing him out now."

As Baelon scowled and turned around, he saw that some guards were escorting Trevor out to the courtyard. The Traitor had a sly smirk on his face as he noticed the two men that were going to fight on his behalf.

Baelon glared at him, "You bastard..." He said as he clenched his fist, "Today is the day you die."

As the guards reached the wooden barrier, they began to unchain Trevor who was rubbing his wrists as he looked at Baelon.

"My Prince." He said with a sly tone, "I would like to thank you for keeping me well-fed in my detainment.....I appreciate that."

Baelon scoffed, "Shut up." He said, "Are you ready to fight?"

"Of course." Trevor said as he glanced behind him, "I take it you have met my fellow champions?"

He gestured at Eryn and Daron who were behind him.

"Those are two." Baelon said, "Alongside Harwin, that makes Four of you. Where are the other three."

"They will be here shortly, I am sure." Trevor said

"I have no time to wait." Baelon replied, "Have them out here now."

"Patience, Prince Baelon." Otto told him, "They will be here. Surely, they will not ignore such an important event."

Baelon scowled, "Fine then." He said, "I simply cannot wait to kill them, that is all."

"Reel in that bloodlust." Viserys told him, "Baelon, you must control your emotions."

Trevor could not help but chuckle at this, "Such impatience will get you killed, Prince." He said, "Are you that in a rush to keep my dear wife?"

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Baelon said with a scowl, "I am going to kill you because I want to. Because you think you can do what you can do without our Family saying anything about it. But you are wrong, I want you to know that. I don't just want to kill you because you hurt my sister, who I do care about....but because you are spitting in the face of our House, The Realm, everything that we stand for. You are fortunate that I am merciful enough to give you a chance to fight back....because if it were up to me, I would have burned you alive with Balerion."

"Baelon." Viserys said, "Calm down. Trevor, I take it that you have your Seven Champions ready, including yourself...."

"I do...." Trevor said as he glanced at one of the Kingsguard, "And one of them is standing next to you."

Viserys frowned, "What?"

Ser Arryk Cargylle stepped forward, "I am sorry, Your Grace." He said as he took off his white-cloak, "But something had to be done."

"W-What?!" Ser Erryk exclaimed

Baelon looked at this with surprise, "What in the hells?"

All of the Kingsguard drew their swords and got in a stance, "Ser Arryk." Ser Harold said, "What is the meaning of this?"

Ser Arryk walked towards the arena, "For the sake of the Realm, I must partake in this." He said

"This is treason!" Ser Criston exclaimed, "You break your vows to fight for this traitor?! The Kingsguard will not forget this!!!"

Baelon glared at him, "Why do you do this?" He asked, "Do you seriously want to die that badly, Ser Arryk? You betray the Crown? Our Family?"

"For this filth?!"
