Trial By Seven VII

(Third Person POV)

Trevor swung his sword at Daemon as the Rogue Prince pivoted to the side and avoided it, "You were always one of the better swordsmen, Prince Daemon." He said with a slight smirk, "Some might say the best one."

"Shut up." Daemon said as he countered with his own swing, "And keep fighting."

The two men clashed, the sound of the steel resounding through the air. Daemon then stepped back and parried a quick follow-up by Trevor, stepping to the side and attempting a riposte. Trevor was able to avoid it but Daemon was fierce with the follow-up of his own.

Unleashing a flurry of slashes, Daemon forced Trevor back a couple of steps as the traitor was able to block and deflect them all, albeit struggling to maintain his footing.

"Blackfyre....Dark Sister...." Trevor said as he pivoted away, "The two Princes that wield the legendary valyrian steel blades...you are so full of yourselves..."

"I told you...." Daemon said with a serious scowl, "Shut up and keep fighting!"

Trevor parried a thrust, "You don't understand where I am coming from." He said, "I look at you, Dragons, from below, in the sands where the Crabs lie...and I cannot feel like that is where I belong...."

Trevor composed himself in the quick two-second window as Daemon brought his blade back and proceeded to push forwards on the offensive. As he swung his sword, he saw the Rogue Prince's eyes set on him with a frown.

Daemon parried the blade and pushed Trevor away with surprising strength which took the traitor off-guard. As Trevor straightened up, he had to raise his sword and block Dark Sister as it was brought down vertically. The traitor was able to feel his own blade chip slightly as the strength of the valyrian steel was far superior than his own.

"You will never be a dragon." Daemon said, "Everyone wants to be us, nobody can deny that. Everyone wants to ride on a dragon, to feel the power that we feel every time we sit on those saddles. Everyone wants to sit on that Throne, to feel the absolute power that my brother has. But the cruel reality is that nobody can be what we are..."

Trevor parried another swing and stepped away, "Oh, is that so?" He said, "I recall you being the Heir at one point. Does it not bother you that your place was taken by your nephew?"

"Baelon is the rightful Heir." Daemon said, "If you think you will pit us against each other, you are mistaken."

Daemon then rushed at Trevor and thrust his blade at him, missing as Trevor had jumped to the side to avoid it. The Traitor rushed him and spun around, swinging his sword fiercely. The Rogue Prince then ducked to avoid the swing.

As Daemon stepped to the side, he bumped into Erryk Cargylle who was backing away from his brother.

"What the...." He said, "Ser Erryk...!"

"My Prince..." Erryk said as he panted slightly, "Mine apologies..."

"Watch your surroundings..." Daemon said, "These fuckers will pounce at any opportunity."

As he said that, Erryk noticed his brother rushing Prince Daemon from angle behind him.

The Kingsguard pushed him away and blocked Arryk's blade, "Watch out, My Prince!" He exclaimed, "Brother, you dare do the same?!"

Arryk stepped back and swung his sword again, "What of it?!"

"You are no longer my brother!!" Erryk said with pure anger, "You have lost all sense of what we fought for!!!"

Erryk blocked his brother's blade yet again and stepped to the side, pulling away and swinging his sword again at his brother's neck, going for the kill. The former Kingsguard blocked it and stepped away, resuming their clashing.

Daemon was straightening up when Trevor pounced on him, "Shit..."

"Best be careful, Prince Daemon!" Trevor exclaimed

Daemon parried the traitor's blade and countered with repetitive slashes which Trevor was able to block but barely.

As this happened, Arryk thrust his blade towards Erryk as the Kingsguard had stumbled, the point of the blade piercing slightly through the armor.

"Aghh!" Erryk exclaimed

"Brother, it pains me to do this!" Arryk pulled his blade away and went for the finish

Erryk avoided the swing and countered with his own, slashing at his brother's face. Arryk had stepped back to avoid the full brunt of the swing but was grazed, his cheek being cut. Blood was drawn and the pain of the blade caused Arryk to stagger, as he was surprised by this.

"Ahhh!!!!" Erryk let out a yell as he rushed his brother and thrust his blade at him

Arryk parried the blow and tried to counter but Erryk had dodged and followed through with another swing, aimed at his grip hand. The blade cut through the glove that Arryk had, cutting his flesh. This caused Arryk to drop the sword as blood poured down.

"Urghh...!" Arryk winced in pain

Erryk then reared his sword back, "Brother!!!"

Ser Erryk Cargylle then thrust his sword through a gap in Arryk's armor, piercing his blade through the flesh of his twin.

Arryk's eyes widened as he looked at his own brother who was holding back tears, "E-Erryk...."

Erryk was breathing hard as he held the handle of his sword, "Brother....why....." He said, "Why did you betray us....? Why did you do this?!"

Arryk looked at him, "Y-You know why...."

Erryk removed his blade as Arryk dropped to the ground, blood pouring on the floor as the Kingsguard watched his brother's life leave his eyes. Tears formed on Erryk's eyes as he shook slightly, processing what he had just done.

He slayed his own brother.

Everyone watched in pure silence as the sounds of clashing steel were still heard. Everyone could only see the sight of a Knight standing over the body of his own blood.

"Ser Erryk!!" Baelon's voice was heard

Erryk looked up to see Eryn rushing him, "Huh?"

"Now's not the time to drop your guard!" Eryn swung his sword

Erryk dodged the swing and saw that Gwayne had rushed over to help, "Ser Gwayne...." He said as he stepped to the side

"This man is quick!" Gwayne said as he swung his sword

In a swift motion, Eryn parried Gwayne's blade and countered, swinging his own blade at him. Gwayne was cut in the arm, the blade cutting through his shirt as he had not avoided the full swing in time.

"Aghh!" Gwayne cried out as he stepped to the side

"Ser Gwayne!" Erryk said as he rushed over

The Kingsguard thrust his own blade at Eryn who parried it hard and punched him in the face with his free hand.

"Tch.." Eryn said as Erryk stumbled

The bastard then thrust his sword at Erryk who was staggered, the point of the blade piercing through the Kingsguard throat. Eryn's entire sword had plunged through Erryk, killing him instantly.

There was a loud gasp in the courtyard as all of the Kingsguard could only watch their sword brother be killed in combat.

Baelon, who was fending off Daron, watched this, "N-No...!" He exclaimed as he parried Daron's blade, "Gwayne!"

Gwayne rushed at Daron, trying to swing his sword at Eryn who had removed his own from Erryk's throat.

Eryn easily parried it again and kicked Gwayne in the chest staggering him yet again, "Hmph." He said, "Killing a man like this is much easier than what we did."

Gwayne straightened up and raised his blade to block Eryn's swing, being staggered yet again by this.

"What..?" He said as Eryn punched him in the jaw

Gwayne stumbled to the ground as Eryn rushed him, going for the kill.

Alicent stood up, "No!" She cried out, "Brother!"

Eryn was about to swing his sword down when he was shoulder-tackled by Baelon, forcing him away.

"Tch...!" Eryn said as he looked at Baelon who had immediately turned to parry Daron's flurry of slashes, "Stupid prince..."

Gwayne was rubbing his jaw as he sat up, holding his sword with his injured arm, "Curses....."

He then looked over to see Eryn rushing Baelon from behind, attempting to stab him.

"Baelon!" Gwayne cried out as he tried to get up

Eryn thrust his blade at Baelon but Baelon spun out of the away, swinging his sword at Eryn, forcing him to step back and stumble to avoid the attack. The Heir then rushed him and thrust his blade at his chest, forcing a parry from Eryn.

Despite pulling the parry off, Eryn was still staggered by the sudden change of momentum and Baelon followed up with another hard swing. Eryn blocked it but was off-balance and Baelon shoulder-tackled him yet again, bringing him to the ground.

"Stay down, cunt." Baelon said as he turned around and parried Daron's blade, "As for you...."

He countered with a riposte, nearly plunging his blade into Daron's chest. The Bastard was able to jump away just in time.

"I don't know, Eryn...." Daron said, "Fighting this one is much harder than what we did."

"And what did you do?" Baelon said as he rushed at Daron, "Do tell."

Daron smirked, "Oh...." He said, "You would not believe it...."

"Believe what?" Baelon said, "Tell me, you stupid fuck."

"The Plague." Daron said as he parried his blade, "How do you think it happened?"

Baelon scowled, "What?"

"That's right." Daron said, "The Plague of the Racking Cough....."

"We unleashed it."
