Third Login: Arcanis

Within the library was shelves extending upward to the roof, with stone platforms that hovered around randomly, instead of ladders. Uravis gaze was focused on the symbol on the ceiling. The design of a a complex star with an eye at the center. He recognized it from his games, especially most concerning quests and relics.

He shook his head and moved his gaze to Seraphina who was searching through the shelves on their floor for what he was looking for.

He then dragged his eyes to the platform hovering around, he saw one approaching him and then decided to check to top while Seraphina worked below, then they would meet at the center.

He stepped on the platform and was lifted into the air till it stopped on the last floor. Drakonis picked out the first book that caught his eye, a purple leather cover notebook with bookmarks in every page.

He blew away the dust that covered the front cover, the words that appeared and he read made a smile appear on his lips.

Void Serpent's curses symptoms, types and solutions.

'It's like this world keeps reading my mind,' he thought happily and opened the first page. The first page had a piece of paper attached to it, old and barely had words visible on it, he flipped the paper over and saw another writing.

'The other book lies in the heart of the library.'

He read and then folded the paper and tucked it into his pocket. However, it dawned on him that he could not understand what was written.

It was english yet he couldn't understand a thing. He was certain that was was written was related to magic, given he could not understand despite it being English.

Then a thought suddenly popped up in his head, he glanced down at Seraphina below to ensure she was not watching, and he sat in a lotus position while on the floating platform. He closed his eyes and maintained maximum focus.

"Login," he uttered and a faint blue holographic screen appeared before him. As he opened his eyes, they widened when he saw the time range Drakonis had been used. It wasn't bad, but he was surprised he used Drakonis for a long time. And it was still counting.

His gaze drifted down to Nightshade and saw that the time range was moments away from Drakonis' and might even cross it if he was not careful.

But that was not what mattered at the moment.

He scrolled through the avatars and their skills, they did not meet his requirements because he was looking for a mage or someone close to that.. probably a wizard or a seer.

He scrolled down to the last point and landed on one particular name, after going through the characters details he smiled. "This should do and he looks like Drakonis, well Drakonis without the green eyes," he said but then frowned, "Why do they have to rhyme with my own name? Why not something like William or Jude," he mumbled, slightly displeased with how almost all the character he had chosen always rhymed with his.

"Anyways.....Login," he paused and slowly closed his eyes. Energy built up within him, right at his core and the position of his third eye, "Arcanis," he mumbled and his body glowed with a faint blue light. He switched, starting from his head to his feet.

Drakonis' light brown hair was changed to a slightly darker shade , bluish green eyes. His clothes changed to something more befitting for a man, unlike the overly comfortable fit Drakonis came with.

He smiled and opened the book, flipped rapidly through the pages till his eyes landed on what was familiar to the King's sickness. "I was right sleep paralysis...." he paused to read the contents properly, "With Reverse Fever," he scoffed and flipped the page to where the solution was then he rose back to his feet.

Then what was written on the piece of paper hit him again resulting in a frown. "Heart of the library," he trailed off, the platform moved to the center of the library, just as he thought about it.

He dragged his gaze down to the ground directly above him, but saw nothing, he raised his head to ceiling where the symbol was. His brows curving as he squinted.

The eyes had a rectangular iris instead of a circular ome, which was strange. If it was the symbol he saw in his games then it was supposed to be circular or like that of a snake's.

Five minutes of staring at that same spot went by and the sun was suddenly covered by a cloud, thus restricting light from going into the library in the normal amount.

As the sun slowly became visible in the sky, it shot a beam of light into the library in a different angle, Arcanis frowned when it dawned on him.

The eyes actually had a circular iris and not rectangle and it was directly above him, which was the center. The heart of the library.

The platform moved upwards towards the eyes and stopped inches away from it, to avoid Arcanis hitting his head. He stretched out his hand to the rectangle and saw that it was actually a box.

He pulled away from the iris of the eyes and opened it up without hesitating. His eyes landed on the spotless white book, it was clean like it was recently put in the library..but he knew better.

As he opened it, the first thing he saw on the first page, was the written recipe for the antidote, and there it was written to be the most common curse the Void Serpent's followers used since it had a better chance of killing the cursed ones.

"I'll come back to the other later," he mumbled and tore off the page the recipe was written on, he put the book in his bag as the platform descended to the ground.

He stepped off it and watched it hover back to join the other platform and they hovered in a single file.

Seraphina walked back to him with a disappointed look on her face, "I couldn't find anything about curses or the Void serpent."

"No need," he placed his hands on her shoulder and showed her the journal and the paper from the other book. "If I can find all this materials then i..." he trailed off when he heard the sound of arrows being released into the air. "Shit," he cussed and dodged the arrow, he instantly reached into his sheath and drew out his sword, ready to attack.

"Oops, I forgot to tell you about traps," Seraphina laughed nervously, but he frowned and pushed her out of the way as an arrow swooped past her. She also drew out her sword and raised her gaze to where the arrows were coming from.

"Cupids?" Arcanis uttered staring at the figure that shot arrows at them.

"No," Seraphina said and cut on of the arrows coming her way into half with one precise and fast sway of her sword. "They are statues and we have to get out of here before we get hit with one."

"No, everything I need for the king is here. I am not leaving without the antidote," he replied with determination laced in his voice. He never breaks his promise and he would not start now, not ever.
