First Encounter: The Enemy, The Antidote or Seraphina.

Seraphina rolled her eyes and sighed, "Since you're so determined to save your mysterious King. We shouldn't waste anytime here," she said and turned to him, "You have the speed, I have the strength. Try and get all the statues to follow you off the sides of the tower and to the ground, then i can catch them, understand?"

"Sure," he responded and took her sword from her, he held both by his side as he charged up.

Since Arcanis and Drakonis were almost the same characters, Arcanis is the upgraded version of Drakonis, with his charming looks, his knowledge on magic and sword mastery.. then his strategic mind.

The only thing that did not change in him was how he welded his sword. It remained the same only more powerful.

With a nod he leaped onto one of the platforms, he jumped on other ones as arrows came his way. Every step he took went higher and higher but he was having trouble dodging when he was now at the center of fire.

Seraphina channelled her energy into both her hands, a faint aura forming around her as she charged up. Two massive hands emerged from the ground and remained opened, awaiting her targets.

The statues aimed their arrows at him, low growls escaping their lips as his presence angered them even more.

He jumped off the Platform and onto where the statues stood then he pushed one off, thus angering the others. It was like they were alive but had bodies made of cement and metal. They all dropped their arrows and charged towards him, mindlessly jumping off where they stood.

He smirked and began swinging his sword, hitting every one that came for him, each and every one of them dropped like boulders into Seraphina's massive hands.

Down to the last, he pushed it off the shelves and into Seraphina's hands, then she clasped her palms together, crushing the statues till they were reduced to dust.

Arcanis leaped off the shelves and onto Seraphina's hands then to the ground, and at that same moment the massive hands vanished leaving a silver glitter behind. She walked up to him, took her sword out of his hands and smiled, "It is really nice fighting by your side, although our battles have been short and brief."

"I don't pray for an extended battle considering I am still am amateur," he rubbed the back of his neck and smiled, "Now where can I find the saliva of a leprechaun?"

"A what?" Seraphina asked, her eyes widening in shock and surprise at the same time.

"You heard me, that is what this antidote needs. Strangely it's a combination of different abnormal stuff. Now where can I find it?"

Seraphina slowly pointed at the door that led to another place. He rhen grabbed her hand, without warning and hurried there, refusing to waste more time. Unaware of the confusion on her face.

As he walked into the room, his jaw dropped at the view. It was a kitchen of sorts, with different glowing bottles containing various liquids and dusts.

It was like an might show, the place was dark except for the little amount of light that came in through the tiny window above.

"Okay let's get started, it's not that complicated" he said as she walked to the shelves, she placed a bowl and wooden spoon on the table. "Burnt elf's hair.. ashes," he started reading the items while she poured them into the bowl, "Leprechaun saliva, six leaf clover, Sparkling..water? I guess, honey, lemon and...." he paused and frowned.

"Tears from a lady," he raised his eyes from the paper and looked at Seraphina. "Cry."

"No way," she dropped the spoon and picked up a bottle from the table, "Everything we need is here," she said and smiled, "Don't underestimate the library I was taught in."

Arcanis averted his gaze, rolling his eyes, as she poured a little amount into the bowl, she mixed the content till everything was properly incorporated. She emptied the content into a smaller bottle and handed it over to Arcanis.

"Thank you," he bowed, earning a smile from her.

They made their way out of the Library and both bade goodbye, only for a group of dark purple cladded people to surround them, all holding swords.

"Seriously?" he groaned as he put the bottle int his pocket, "Just like every story or game. The hero gets what he wants that is unfortunately very important then an unlucky group if losers somehow find him and decide that they suddenly want it, How delightful?" he said sarcastically.

"Hand over the Antidote and we will leave you," one of them said, raising his hands to stop the other six from attacking.

"You have got to be kidding," he took a deep breath and switched to Nightshade, he reached into the sheath behind him and took out his two swords. "I'll give you a choice, Leave here in peace or I send you off in pieces."

"Then you leave us no choice. Attack!" the man yelled out and the others charged towards him, determination in every step they took. Nightshade smirked and vanished, he appeared at the top of the Tower, a frown painting his features.

He focused all his energy on his body, he then held out his sword, "I guess I can use the technique again, to speed up things," he mumbled and began calculating the distance between each of them.

He then vanished again, leaving behind a trail of smoke.

Meanwhile, when they began wondering what was going on, he appeared behind the one closest to the tower and thrust his sword into their chest, pulled it out and watched the body dropp lifelessly to the ground after that single attack.

Then he vanished again and reappeared behind the man holding Seraphina captive, he slit the man's throat and vanished.

Every time he vanished he left a trail of black smoke, like a shadow.

One by one they all dropped to the ground but he lost focus of what he was trying to protect, their leader was left but unfortunately Nightshade needed to power up for another attack.

"Are you going to attack me?...or make sure your antidote does not waste," he pointed at the sky, Nightshade traced his gaze to where he was pointing then his eyes grew wide.

"No," he whispered and glared at the man, already cooking up a plan in his head. Suddenly a smile appeared on his lips, he vanished and appeared in the air, leaving the man to escape.

He caught the bottle containing the antidote and put it in his pocket, he then vanished while in the air and appeared before the man's horse.

"Hello there," Nightshade smiled, "You thought I couldn't do both at once, right? Well think again!" he said and threw his sword, aiming for the man's forehead, unfortunately the sword passed through him and went towards Seraphina instead.

And she couldn't see it coming since she was accessing the dead bodies. Nightshade was stuck between saving Seraphina or killing the man, and he had to pick one.

Heaving a sigh, he vanished and appeared behind Seraphina, he caught his sword between his fingers, hoping to catch up with the man but he vanished leaving no trace behind at all.

"Great, this is what caring about others do for you," he mumbled and switched to Drakonis before dropping to the ground, Unconscious.
