The Journey to the Blacksmith

The air was thick with smoke and the stench of burning wood. The earth trembled with each step the Fire God took, its molten body radiating a heat so intense that even the strongest of creatures had to retreat. But The Sage Rat had no time to waste. If they failed to seal the Fire God, there would be no world left to save.

"We must leave now" The Sage Rat said, turning to The Wise Crow and The Abyssal Dragon King. "The blacksmith is our only hope."

The Wise Crow hesitated. "Are you sure about this? If the humans discover us, they won't hesitate to kill us."

"We don't have a choice" The Sage Rat replied firmly. "If the Fire God continues to rampage, even the humans will perish. If this blacksmith is as powerful as the ancient turtle claims, then he must understand the danger we all face."

The Abyssal Dragon King's deep voice rumbled. "Then let's not waste time."

With that, the group set off, leaving behind the burning forests and heading toward the human settlements.

After hours of travel, The Sage Rat and The Wise Crow perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking a human fortress. Unlike the fragile wooden villages they had seen before, this place was built of cold iron and stone. Thick walls surrounded it, and sharp spears lined the barricades. Humans in metal armor patrolled the gates, their weapons gleaming under the glow of the fire-ravaged sky.

The Wise Crow clicked his beak. "How do you plan to get in? Even if we reach the blacksmith, there's no guarantee he'll listen."

The Sage Rat narrowed his eyes. "Then we'll make him listen."

Under the cover of darkness, they slipped through the cracks in the fortress walls. They moved through narrow alleyways, avoiding detection. The sound of hammers striking metal echoed through the air, leading them to a large forge at the center of the stronghold.

Inside, a human stood alone, working tirelessly at his anvil. His muscles were thick from years of labor, and his face was covered in soot. Hanging on the walls were weapons of all shapes and sizes—swords, axes, and shields, all crafted with masterful precision.

This was the man they had come for.

The Sage Rat stepped forward, his small figure casting a long shadow in the firelight. "Blacksmith!" he called out.

The man stopped, his hammer frozen mid-air. Slowly, he turned, his tired eyes narrowing at the sight of a talking rat.

For a long moment, there was silence.

Then the blacksmith spoke. "A talking rat. I must be losing my mind."

"You are not" The Wise Crow interjected. "And we do not have time for disbelief. We need your help."

The blacksmith frowned. "My help? With what?"

"The Fire God has awoken" The Sage Rat said. "It will destroy everything—human and beast alike. We have a plan to seal it away, but we need someone who can wield the power of metal."

The blacksmith let out a short laugh. "And what makes you think I'd help animals?"

The Sage Rat's eyes burned with determination. "Because if you don't, your people will die just like the rest of us."

The blacksmith's expression darkened. He turned back to his forge, staring into the fire as if searching for an answer.

Then, after a long pause, he sighed. "If what you're saying is true, then we're all doomed anyway."

The Wise Crow stepped forward. "There is still a chance. The ancient turtle told us of the Five Elements Seal. Earth, Wood, Water, Fire, and Metal—only together can they lock the Fire God away."

The blacksmith rubbed his beard. "And I represent Metal, do I?"

"You are the best we've got" The Sage Rat said. "The only one who can forge a weapon strong enough to withstand the flames."

The blacksmith stared at them for a long time. Then, at last, he nodded.

"I'll do it."

With the blacksmith now on their side, the group rushed back toward the battlefield. The Abyssal Dragon King awaited them at the ocean's edge, his massive form barely visible in the distance. The giant turtle had also returned, his glowing inscriptions pulsing with energy.

The Wise Crow landed beside the Sage Rat. "What now?"

"We prepare" The Sage Rat said. "The ritual requires all five elements. We have Earth, Water, Metal, and Wood." He turned his gaze to the volcano still burning in the distance. "The last piece… is Fire itself."

The Wise Crow stiffened. "You don't mean—"

"Yes" The Sage Rat interrupted. "We need the Fire God's power to complete the seal."

The Wise Crow shuddered at the thought. "And how do you propose we do that?"

The Sage Rat took a deep breath. "We let it chase us."

The Wise Crow's eyes widened. "That's suicide!"

"Not if we time it right" The Sage Rat countered. "If we lure it into the center of the ritual at the exact moment the seal is completed, we can lock it away forever."

The blacksmith stepped forward, arms crossed. "I'll start forging the weapon needed to withstand its flames. But it won't be easy."

The Abyssal Dragon King rumbled. "Then we must act quickly. The Fire God will not wait for us to be ready."

The Sage Rat nodded. "Then let's begin."

As the fire continued to spread across the land, they prepared for their final battle. The fate of the world depended on whether or not they could outsmart the wrath of a god.
