The mc is a hothead, transmigrating from earth, even after a human brothel head hunter backs off and offers him wine and a apology for targetting him for being a poor scholar, he still murders him, even knowing he has a martial arts master younger brother, he is forced to join the army when the martial arts younger brother narrows him down as prime suspect. The skill system means he can gain skills quickly, and he will need them.

Review is based on the free chapters and some. Translation quality isn't terrible, with the usual MTL shebang. I highly recommend turning your brain off and not applying the real world phenomenons to the story (if a tiger is a lion, then the tiger is a lion in this story 😭). MC transmigrated into the body of an ungrateful stuck-up and turned things around. He actually took responsibility as the head of the family in his own way, being cautious and all. I kind of hoped his father would show up later all, "Yo! How have you been? I got hurt and finally recovered to make it back." But that is just my wishful thinking. MC does have a silent system, with superb perks but he has to work for it. That's right! It's basically a, "no pain, no gain" kind of thing. I do like this better than the gacha type systems. Regardless of my review, check the story out yourself.

Pretty good novel and looking interesting with a good translation. Hopefully they can release more chapters faster.

I find this book to be intriguing and descriptive. I feel that the author has a good vision and has been able to display it through his writing. This could be a very good novel if continued.

Amazing, new character, New start, Amazing Development, My only request to the Author is to make it long and true.

I really enjoy this novel. The golden finger is reasonable and doesn't just function as plot armor. The writing is captivating, the world building fascinating without being bloated. The characters are robust, and you can see and understand their POVs and motivations. Yes, it isn't perfect... especially when the translator gets lazy at times. But this is a great story. If you want to know if this is worth reading, then yes, it is, and you don't have to read further as the rest is just something I find super fascinating about the author's writing. What is truly beautiful about it is that woven into the story is two beautiful allegorical elements (though I may be reading into it more than the author intended). The first one is historical. The novel utilizes its wuxia/xianxia world to critique and criticize the last Imperial Dynasty of China, i.e... the Qing Dynasty. Emperor Longqing and his Cao family and ministers represent the corrupt and accommodating Qing Dynasty. The Immortals and their Sects are the Western Powers trying to slice up China into colonies. While the MC, Chen Sansi, and his master and fellow disciples represent the people rising up with communist ideologies to expel the foreign invaders and overturn the corrupt Dynasty to form it's People's Republic. The second allegory is a modern one. Criticizing the West and Capitalism. Again, the same characters but different meanings. The Emperor and His ilk represent the "decadent and corrupt" Western governments like the US political machine. The Sects and their Immortals represent the unchecked corporations that dictate and manipulate the system to their benefit. Finally, our MC, Chen Sansi, and his group represent the CCP fighting and striving against the world order represented by those two previous forces. Now, I'm not saying I support those interpretations of the reading, but they do fit with the Chinese cultural perspective, and they way they are interwoven into the story is super interesting.

good novel and good story in general. the only detriment I can think of is the translation and writing quality which is not bad but not good either. I would give it a 5/10

Good Novel. I read up to chapter 320. No harem till then and MC doesn't spare any enemies as he has a family. Later family life becomes background and it mostly focuses on the military. Slow progression.
