Chapter 100

The drive to Garrett's safe house was tense, the silence in the car broken only by the hum of the engine and the rapid tapping of David's fingers on his phone. Kiara's heart raced as they sped through the darkened streets, the weight of what they were about to do pressing down on her.

"We'll have backup waiting," Mike said, glancing at her from the driver's seat. "We're not going in alone."

Kiara nodded, but the tension in her chest didn't ease. She knew they were heading into a dangerous situation. Ruddy's men wouldn't hesitate to do whatever it took to silence Garrett.

As they neared the safe house, the tension in the car grew even thicker. They could see the lights of police vehicles up ahead, parked discreetly on a side street. The authorities were already in position, waiting to intercept Ruddy's men.

"We're ready," Mike said, his voice steady but taut. "Let's move."
