The weird little girl next door

Hi Peaches" Stacy shouted from her seat as soon as she saw little Vivian enter their class on her first day at her new school.

Little Vivian was really shocked after she heard the name only her parents and no other person was permitted to call her.

Stacy gave the new girl a bright smile and offered a seat beside her for her to seat. She had already taken a like in her and wanted to be her friend at all cost.

"Kids, let's say hello to miss Vivian. She's going to be studying with us and I want you all to get along" their homeroom teacher announced with a smile and the other kids all welcomed her .

"Miss Jackson, I would like if peaches sit close to me" Stacy voiced out what she had wanted to say as soon as Vivian entered the class.

"Alright, seems like everyone already likes you Miss Vivian" the teacher said as she looked down at Vivian who was still wondering why her weird neighbor still called her peaches after she had been introduced as Vivian earlier by the homeroom teacher.

"But we would like to know where you would want to sit Miss Vivian?" The teacher asked her gently.

Vivian looked around the class but for some reason she felt safe if she would stay near her next door neighbor. Maybe it was because everyone in the class looked new to her except for the girl who looked at her with a bright smile all over her face. Little Stacy couldn't wait for Vivian to accept to sit close to her. Her eyes wandered around the classroom, so many students sitted on their chair and they were also empty seats their which she could sit on, she needed to sit where she would be more comfortable.

After much observation, Vivian finally pointed at the empty seat close to Stacy.

"Alright then, go on ahead and sit over there" she told her as she watched the little girl walk towards the seat and she turned and went off to her desk to prepare for the next lesson.

"Hey peaches, I'm Stacy" Stacy stood on her feet as she introduced herself with a stretched arm.

"You're not permitted to call me that" Vivian said ignoring what she said earlier.Vivian said ignoring what she said earlier. She was annoyed that someone she wasn't even close with was calling her that. No one was permitted to call her that only her parents or her friends and at the moment she had no friends. After they moved to this town, she hasn't made any friends yet and would always miss her friends back at her previous home, where she grew up.

Back then, she had so many of them both male and female and they were all so nice to her. She knew that making new friends here was going to be more difficult as she knew no one here.

"Mum, I don't want to move now, I have alot of friends and I'm going to miss them" she complained to her mum while they were in her room packing her bags for travel.

"I know you're going to miss them and I'm sorry dear but moving out is the best option for us besides you don't need to worry by the time you start your new school you would make a lot of friends" her mum assured her and then gave her a peck on the forehead.

"Alright peaches but first you need to take off your backpack and get ready for the next class" Stacy said as she helped Vivian take off her backpack and sat on her chair.

She then opened the bag and searched for her book and a pencil which she found and dropped on the table before she turned to Vivian who still looked at her with an annoyed face.

"What's the matter peaches?" She asked but her words were interrupted by their homeroom teacher who called the students attention so that they could settle down for the class.

"Alright kids, I want everyone's attention to be on me, okay?" She said as she smiled at the kids but found Vivian still standing.

"Is there a problem Miss Vivian?" She asked and then Stacy quickly held Vivian's palm and made her sit quickly.

"Not really miss Jackson" Stacy said and the teacher nodded before she started to teach.

"Here peaches, this is the page we would be studying" Stacy said as she swiped through the pages for Vivian and then turned to the board to pay attention.

"I've told you to stop calling me pea..." Stacy interrupted her with a shush.

"Shhh, pay attention peaches" she said and turned to the board.

Vivian had no other choice but to turn towards the board to pay attention. No matter what she says this weird neighbor of hers never stopped calling her peaches till this very day.

With time, she found out actually how nice Stacy was and they became real friends well best friends.
