"We've all be apologizing. Don't you find it funny?" She said and this made him laugh at what she said. He probably didn't notice it.
"Thanks for the meal" she then started to eat . Finally, her tongue could taste this wonderful meal.
"Hmm" it really tastes nice, she thought in her head.
"I'm glad you are enjoying your meal" he said as he watched the beautiful lady before him eat. He had found her attractive as soon as she joined her in the table.
"Of course I am, I mean the chefs here are awesome" she praised them and tucks her hair behind her ear but her hair continued to disturb her view and she didn't want to waste anytime eating. She had to rush back to the hospital.
"Thanks for the compliment. You know I used to work in a restaurant as a chef" he said, he wanted to continue this discussion with her. He found her fun to be with.
"Really, your meal must really taste nice as well" she said as she continued to struggle with her hair.
"Here, have this" he offered her a hair band which brought out of his pocket.
"Oh, thanks" she showed appreciation and collected it from him before she tied her hair in a ponytail.
"But which guy carries a lady's hair band around" she teased with a grin as she sips from the cup of water on the table.
"Oh, it belongs to my sister" he explained himself.
"You don't have to explain yourself. I was just joking around" she said with a chuckle.
"So where was the first restaurant you worked as a chef" she asked almost done with her meal.
"Well, I first worked at Chicago when I....."he was still talking when Vivian's phone rang and she had to pick up the call.
"Hey...., I'll be there right now" she said and hung up.
"Is something wrong?" He asked after he saw her got up from her seat in a hurry.
"Not really, I have to head back now... Thanks for the meal and have a nice day" she said and rushed to pay for her meal before she left immediately.
The young man by the name Kris Miller sat there and watched her. He really wasn't happy that their conversation was caught short neither did he get a chance to ask for her name.
"She must really be busy. Judging from her cloth, she must be a doctor and works at the hospital across the road" he said in his head as he continued to drink his coffee.
Just then, his phone rang and he picked up the call to hear the voice of his best friend Jareth.
"Hey Jareth. I'm quite surprise that you called me at your work hours" he said as he knew his friend was a workaholic who took his work serious and nothing mattered to him except for business. He was the CEO of H & K cooperation. He owned hotels, H&K entertainment company, H&K Motors and so many. They were also branches of H&K at other states. He was a billionaire.
"That's because you forced me to join you at the Golf club today, at 2:30pm. And now I'm here I don't seem to find you anywhere" he said with a calm voice.
"Oh shit, I almost forgot about that" he admitted as he stood on his feet and picked up his car key and phone which lay on the table.
"Maybe we should...." Kris quickly cut his friend short knowing fully well what he was about to say. He had tried really hard to squeeze out time from Jareth's tight schedule so that they could have fun and Jareth would feel better from everything he had gone through.
"No, no, no. I'm on my way. Don't move" he warned Jareth and hung up. He quickly got into his car and zoomed off.
Jareth who was already at the Golf club, the place looked empty just a few people were there.
"Who comes to the golf course on weekdays" he sighed as he walked towards his car where his secretary opened the door to his car and he entered.
"Kris always know how to disturb me " the exhales as he tapped on his iPad. He had to get something's done before this troublesome friend of his shows up.
Kris who was still on his way decided to go home and get changed into an appropriate wear for playing Golf, he shouldn't put on a suit for that.
Kris is a guy of 28, a bachelor to be precise. He was a young and hard-working man who owned about three five star hotels and restaurants. He was also nice and handsome or should I say cute, he knew how to move a lady with his charms. Almost all ladies who came across him would want to make him theirs.
He also lived alone in mansion, a glass one at that which was a wonderful sight to behold.
After he was done changing into his outfit, he drove straight to the golf course where he saw his friend who already stuck his eyes in his iPad.
"Oh come on man, give yourself a break" he said with a sigh as soon as he opened the car door and snatched the iPad from his hand.
"I'm here now so no more work, focus on me" kris said and handed the iPad to his secretary who stood not so far from them.
"Check if the branch at Switzerland sent any mail. We should be expecting that and call to check if the vehicle was shipped" he said to his secretary as he stepped out of his car and put his cap on.
"You're late" he said to his friend who he gave a handshake.
"I'm really sorry, got caught in a nice conversation" he said as he remembered his meeting with the young lady at the restaurant. He found her quite interesting.
"Good for you" Jareth replied not interested in his excuse.
"Let's get this over with and head back to the office" Jareth walked towards the golf cart where he entered and his friend joined him.
"No, we won't be in a rush. We would have to play as if it's a hobby of ours not some of your work loads at the office" kris corrected him.
"Whatever, but we shouldn't waste all the time we have here, Time is special" Jareth said as they drove down the hill in their cart and Kim joined them with another which he drove behind them.
