"Whatever, but we shouldn't waste all the time we have here, Time is special" Jareth said as they drove down the hill in their cart and Kim joined them with another which he drove behind them.
They drove down the hill and in the end found a perfect spot for them to play. The first to play was Jareth so he placed the golf ball on the floor, positioned himself and made his first move with the golf stick.
"Cool, not bad at all" kris said with a chuckle.
"You're next"
"Alright" kris answered and walked in to give his a shot.
As they continued to play, they discussed along the line and kris noticed Jareth had improved after the last time they played together, that was like two months ago.
"You seem to be enjoying it"Kris said and his friend nodded.
"I am, in a way" he admitted as he cleaned the sweat which was on his forehead with a handkerchief.
"How's Wendy?" Kris asked.
"She's great, doing fine" he answered and then they decided to take a break where they both sat on the cart.
His secretary who stood by the corner handed them two bottles of water which they uncapped and drank down immediately. They were both exhausted and needed to take a break.
"That's good to hear. I should visit soon so that we could play games together" kris stated as he remembered his last visit at Jareth's house.
"Yes you should. She would love to see you" Jareth smiled as he thought of his daughter. She was a very lovely and sweet child. She was also fond of Kris and would always spend the whole day with him whenever he visited.
" She really is so sweet, isn't she"Kris admitted.
"She sure is" he admitted and chuckled.
Their conversation was cut short by Kim who reminded him that he had a meeting to attend to at that moment.
"That's right, Kris I'm leaving" he said to his friend and started the cart.
"So soon, but we just got....."
"Next time, please" he interrupted him and Kris had no other choice but to let him go, at least he had spared sometime for them to play golf together.
The rest of the day was hectic for Jareth which was quite normal. He would prefer to occupy himself with work than go home. Home wasn't always the best for him, instead it was somewhere he didn't like to stay for so long. It was filled with memories he didn't want to remember.
He worked and worked till it was 10:20pm then his secretary decided to stop him and remind him that he had a home. He also had to meet his daughter which would probably be in her sleep so instead of waking the little girl up, he would just watch her sleep for a while before he joined her.
"Yeah, you're right. We should leave" he left the office and walked to the basement where the chauffeur opened the door to the car and zoomed off after he, himself had gotten to the driver's seat.
After they got home he was greeted by the house keeper, Lydia. She was also Wendy's nanny who took care of her since she was born.
Lydia, had been working for the Hendricks ever since she was in her late twenty's. She had also taken care of baby Jareth when he was little. She was a really nice lady who would always put herself first before anyone else.
"Welcome Sir" she said with a slight bow.
"How was your day?, Where's my baby girl?" He really wanted to see her.
"She has already retired for bed"
"Oh" he was disappointed. He really wanted to spend time with her. He needed this, to ease his worries especially now he had a headache which was splitting his forehead into two.
"Should I get you dinner?" She asked .
"No, a bottle of water would do." He said and walked towards his room.
Lydia watched him walk away with a worried look all over her face. She was worried for him. He was really going through a lot. He hasn't had a proper meal in days and this made her extremely worried. He should get himself together.
"Alright sir" she replied as she watched him walk away.
Jareth walked straight to his room to freshen up before he would go to his daughter's room.
He then started to remove his clothes by removing his shoes first and then his tie before his shirt.
He then sat on the his bed which was so soft and leaned on the headboard.
His room has a wall of marbles with a king sized bed. A sofa and side stools outside the veranda and pots of different flowers and plants. He had a closet just before his bathroom filled with different clothes and shoes. Behind his headboard on the wall was a large portrait of his wife, Layla.
He had his head on the headboard when he slowly drifted off to sleep. He found himself in a dark, quiet and cold room. No one was there, just him and all of a sudden his wife Layla appeared right in front of him. She was putting on her pyjamas and a home slippers. She had her hand on her baby bump. She was pregnant.
"Hey honey" she greeted him with a smile and was about to move but she fell with her baby bump hitting the floor.
She screamed in pain as blood slowly escaped her vagina and went down her legs. Jareth who saw this wanted to run towards her but couldn't. It was as if he was stuck there. He couldn't do anything and could just watch her in pain until he finally woke up with sweat all over.
He was socked in sweat, he got on his feet and walked into the bathroom where he turned on the shower and had a bath to cool off.
He was in pain, his heart hurt so much. All he could do was stand there and watch his beloved Layla suffer before his very eyes.
