Philophobia

Can I have your contact?" He asked and she nodded before she collected his phone.

After she was done typing in her number on his phone, she then handed it over to him.

"Have a nice day" she said as she waved her hand and walked away to look for her friend who had gone shopping while she was chatting with him.

Kris who stood there watching her leave had a bright smile on his face, he was so happy that he got her contact. He felt fulfilled as if he had won the lottery. He would also have the opportunity to see her soon.

"Have a nice day Vivian" he said and turned with his trolley. He needed to be done with the grocery shopping and head home.

Vivian searched around for her friend and in the end she found her on the queue. She was about to make payment for what they had just bought.

"Hey. How could you leave?" Vivian asked her friend.

"Hey peach. Someone needed to do the shopping so we could head home immediately besides you have a patient to take care of at the office." She answered. She really didn't mean bad,. She just wanted to make work easier for them as peach carried on with her conversation with the handsome fellow.

"I must say, that guy is really handsome" Stacy said as she moved a little forward.

He had a nice haircut and a scythe shaped eyebrows. His Roman nose and half dome cheekbone set above an oaken jaw, his wrestlers shoulders were part of his burly physique. His derring-do personality and bass voice were a big part of his ambitious character.

"Of course he is. I mean he's literally every girl's dream. So handsome and successful. He even knows how to cook...I mean he's a chef"

"Chef?.. that's nice. You should probably learn from him as soon as you both start dating" Stacy said with a smile.

"Dating?" She sneered.

"You know I'm never into stuff like that. I'm not interested in dating him or anyone now or sooner" she said.

"Oh come on, do you want to die alone at this stage" Stacy tried to reason with her friend who had this mentality that all relationship never ends well.

After she watched her parents once lovely home collapse before her very eyes. She developed a phobia, philophobia which is fear of love or being in a meaningful relationship. She had never been in a relationship since her parents broke up.

And she also planned to live like that for the rest of her life.

"We all die alone, Stacy" she corrected her friend.

"We do?..I mean die with our loved one, our partners"

"Partners? From what I know we all die alone and get buried alone besides every individual came into this world alone" she said.

"Must you always be so harsh" Stacy said and clicks her tongue.

"It's just the truth, Stace" Vivian said and walked forward leaving her friend standing alone.

"May God help my friend" she thought and shook her head.

When they were done, they both walked out of the store and bid each other goodbye before they head to their separate ways..

Vivian walked straight to the hospital with an ice cream sachet in her mouth. She was now on the elevator going to the ladies room when she got a call from a nurse who told her the patient she was in charge of for that night was showing signs of epilepsy. She quickly rushed to his room where she gave him some shot and after that she had to sit down there and make sure he was out of danger.
