I observed quietly as I gazed out the window of Sir Cace's car. He drove calmly, so we hadn't arrived home yet. With a sigh, he turned to me, his gaze focused ahead. He held the wheel tightly, as if he wanted to say something but was holding back.
"Sir..." I called out firmly, prompting him to close his eyes briefly at my sudden address.
"Aren't you hungry?" he furrowed his brow. "I didn't see you eat earlier."
"Ah..." I wasn't sure what to say. I was starting to feel a gnawing hunger as well.
"C'mon babe, don't be shy."
"Can you stop calling me babe? I feel more shy about that than admitting that I'm hungry," I cringed, biting my lip.
Sir Cace sighed again. "Why? Am I not allowed to call you babe?"
"It's not that..." I said, avoiding his gaze. "It just feels awkward because we're not really in a relationship yet. Plus, I can't explain this awkwardness I feel since you're my teacher. It's like—."
