Hidden Dungeon 4

"Damn it...I should have expected an army but this is too much," Virgil said struggling on one knee

before he stood an army of hundreds of thousands of undead zombies, knights, trolls, and even a dragon.

{Becarful Virgil your mana is getting low}

[HP: 450/1110]

[MP: 3200/18300]

"Yeah yeah," Virgil sighed grabbing a health and mana potion from his inventory.

Drinking both he stood up and started down the army of the undead he got a glimpse of the Living Lich on top of the dragon's head. As it started back at Virgil with its dark purple eyes the lich waved its hand and its army began charging at Virgil once more.

Clenching his blade Virgil lifted his daggers again, coating each in light and his body in lightning magic he charged at the army.

With a single horizontal slash, Virgil cut through a dozen ghouls killing them instantly. Continuing forward he condensed his flames at the souls of his feet and released them launching him into the air.

With the undead army at his feet, Virgil surrounded his body in a tempest of dense winds lightning, and flames.

Once the tornado hit the ground it tore through the army killing anything that came into contact with it.

(Maybe still can do this) Virgil thought with a grin.

As he heard the experience and shop points come on in he could not help but grin.

While Virgil's tempest rained havoc getting closer to the living lich it reached something that caused it to stop.

Confused Virgil put more mana into his skills but it was useless as a large fist came flying through his tempest grabbing him and breaking his barrier with ease.

[-100 HP]

Feeling his body being crushed Virgil looked to see a giant skeleton larger than the dragon holding him.

"W-what the hell how can he still summon more," Virgil thought trying to break free

"I don't know why you came here human but this place will be your grave like the many before you," spoke a chilling raspy voice

Looking at the Lich Virgil, it had a look of boredom on its face as it held its hand in a fist.

"But I might spare your life if you become my servant. You a strong magic user it would be a waste to kill you," The lich continued

"Like I would ever agree to that...I came here to kill you and that's what will happen," Virgil replied

"Such a foolish man," the lich sighed tightening his fist causing the giant fist to tighten

"Ghaaa!!"

[-150 HP]

While groaning in pain Virgil focused on creating multiple flame spears. Launching them at the skeleton head he watched the giant cluster of explosions that accrued.

As the smoke cleared Virgil was shocked to see that the skeleton was glowing with purple markings and was completely free from damage.

"I told you this fight is a useless endeavor just stop. Why do you, humans throw your lives away so easily?" the Lich asked

"Because I have people to protect...And if I can't kill you I could never hope of protecting them," Virgil replied with a grin

"Why are you smiling you're about to die?" the lich asked confused

"Oh, nothing...Just realized something," Virgil said with a grin

Created a dense barrier around him Virgil was able to weaken the skeleton's grip just enough to escape.

Running up its arm Virgil dashed towards its head. Seeing this the skeleton tried using its other arm to knock Virgil off but he was easily able to dodge it.

Reaching the skeleton head he covered it in his flames while watching the purple markings. As he expected they all converged to the skeleton's nape.

Rushing to it he placed his hand on a runic symbol and began pouring all his mana into his curse removal skill.

Seeing this the living lich's eyes went wide as he ordered his dragon to attack Virgil, but before he could he began screaming out in agony as a rune on the back of his neck also began to glow.

[Curse Removed]

[1 of 2 Living lich souls removed]

Once he heard the notification Virgil watched as the skeleton fell to the floor no longer moving.

{About time you figured it out} Sabastian laughed

"So you knew and didn't tell me," Virgil said slightly pissed off

{Virgil you need to know how you use your skills without. I won't always be here. You will outgrow the system at some point} Sabastian replied

"What do you mean by that?"

{Nothing just focus on the fight the Lich is still alive}

"...Fine" Pushing the matter aside Virgil stood up and began walking towards the Lich and the Dragon

Looking at the lich it seemed weaker struggling to move while holding itself up on its throne.

"What happened to the look of disappointment I thought you said this would be useless," Virgil joked

"You damned human I should have killed you the moment I saw you but I won't make that mistake again!" the Lich yelled waving its hand at me

As it did the Dragon opened its mouth and a dark purple energy began rising from its stomach to its mouth. Releasing a dense stream of flames Virgil Watched it with a grin and stood still.

[New Flame detected: Corosive Flames]

[Absorb: Yes/No]

Selecting yes Virgil watched as the flames began moving toward his chest and generating his body. As it did he could his flames getting increasingly stronger until it reached a stopping point.

Once it did the once-warm dragon flames not felt cold on his skin. As the remaining flames entered his body and he stood unharmed the Lich slammed his fit on his throne.

"How? The flame can even kill gods!?" The Lich yelled in anger and confusion

"Sorry but I'm the last person fire magic would work on," Virgil grinned while flying towards the lich.
