Chapter 46 Beedrill

"Great, Beedrill!" Ash exclaimed with joy as he saw Kakuna evolve into Beedrill. It had been a surprise—he hadn't intended to trigger an evolution during the battle, but it was a welcome one nonetheless.

"Pika, Pikapi!" Pikachu chirped happily, excited to see its companion evolve and grow stronger.

Misty, though still uneasy around Bug-type Pokémon, couldn't help but smile.

She had formed a small bond with Kakuna over time, and seeing it evolve into Beedrill made her happy for the Pokémon's growth, even if its new form was a little intimidating.

Beedrill, freshly evolved, seemed momentarily stunned by its transformation. It glanced down at its new form, stretching and testing out its long, sharp stingers, familiarizing itself with its body.

But as the latent instincts of the Bug-type kicked in, Beedrill adapted quickly, moving with precision and confidence.

It flexed its twin needles and thrust them forward, causing a sharp, air-piercing sound to echo through the field.

Ash's eyes brightened—this was **Twineedle**, a move unique to Beedrill. Though it wasn't the most powerful attack, it struck twice in quick succession, with a chance to poison the opponent.

Beedrill wasn't done yet. Channeling its Normal-type energy, it followed up with a **Fury Attack**. Five rapid strikes hit the air in the span of a second—an impressive show of Beedrill's newfound speed and agility.

"Twineedle and Fury Attack, both paired with Snipe Shot," Ash thought to himself, smiling.

"If one of these strikes hits the vital spot, it'll deal immense damage, making up for their individual lack of power. Beedrill's combat abilities have improved dramatically."

On the other side of the battlefield, Asen was fuming.

"Damn... Damn... DAMN!" he yelled, his face contorted with frustration. He withdrew his defeated Spearow and immediately threw out his trump card—**Electabuzz**, his most trusted Pokémon.

Electabuzz stood tall and fierce, its yellow body marked with bold black stripes, a lightning symbol prominent on its abdomen. The two wires on its head crackled faintly with electricity, giving the Pokémon a menacing, aggressive presence.

"Electabuzz," Asen barked, "use Quick Attack!"

Without waiting for Ash to respond, Electabuzz bolted forward, its body a blur as it rushed toward Beedrill.

A flash of lightning danced across Electabuzz's form, highlighting the fierce smile on its face. The suddenness of the attack caused the surrounding Trainers to gasp in surprise.

Asen had used the opportunity to launch a sneak attack, angering the crowd even more.

"Beedrill, dodge and counter with Twineedle!" Ash commanded, staying calm despite the ambush.

Beedrill was prepared, its jewel-like eyes focused intently on Electabuzz. Just as the Thunder Shock Pokémon's punch came inches from its face, Beedrill flapped its wings and sidestepped with agility, narrowly avoiding the strike.

Electabuzz, caught off balance after the miss, stumbled slightly, leaving itself wide open.

Beedrill seized the opportunity. Bug-type energy surged into its stingers, and with precision, it thrust both needles into Electabuzz's abdomen.

**Twineedle** landed cleanly, and with Beedrill's **Sniper** ability, the attack's power multiplied dramatically, increasing by 2.25 times.

The force of the blow sent Electabuzz flying backward, tumbling through the air for nearly ten meters before it crashed into the ground.

The Pokémon continued sliding, leaving a long groove in the dirt. When it finally came to a stop, Electabuzz lay motionless, knocked out cold from the devastating hit.

The surrounding Trainers stared in stunned silence. "That Beedrill… it's unbelievably strong," one of them murmured, shocked at the power Beedrill had displayed.

It had seemed as though Beedrill was far stronger than a typical Pokémon of its level—closer to elite strength than ordinary.

Asen, meanwhile, had fallen to his knees, disbelief and despair written across his face.

He couldn't accept that his Electabuzz had been defeated so quickly, and by a Pokémon he had previously dismissed as weak.

Some of the onlookers were perplexed by Beedrill's power, but others began to understand. "It's Beedrill's Sniper ability," one Trainer whispered.

"It boosts the damage of critical hits. Electabuzz didn't stand a chance once it got hit by Twineedle."

Ash grinned, clenching his fist in triumph.

"Well done, Beedrill!" Beedrill had met his expectations perfectly, and with the right moves in its arsenal, Ash knew it was going to be a powerful asset in future battles.

The only thing Beedrill still lacked was a move that would enhance its speed.

"Bee!" Beedrill buzzed, flying over to Ash. Though it was now much larger—nearly a meter tall—it still longed for Ash's approval.

Ash reached out and gently stroked its head, feeling the warmth of Beedrill's body under his hand. Beedrill let out a pleased hum, rubbing its head against Ash's palm.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu climbed up Ash's leg and onto his shoulder, reaching out to pat Beedrill with its tiny paws in celebration.

"Bee!" Beedrill responded joyfully, feeling a newfound camaraderie with Pikachu.

Misty, still a bit apprehensive, cautiously approached Beedrill.

The evolution had made the Bug-type Pokémon look much more intimidating, but Beedrill didn't let that create distance between them. It flew closer to Misty slowly, careful not to scare her.

Seeing Beedrill's gentleness, Misty felt herself relax. Gathering her courage, she reached out and patted Beedrill lightly.

"You've really grown, Beedrill," she said softly, smiling at how far she'd come in accepting Bug Pokémon.

Ash beamed, proud of both Beedrill's evolution and Misty's progress in overcoming her fears. Their journey was only just beginning, but it was clear that they were all growing stronger—together.
