After reaching the end of the hallway. Ray was shocked.In front of him stood and round circular altar surrounded by an blue translucent barrier.The seems to stretch from the from the bottom of the altar even going underground and to the ceiling making a hollow cylindrical shape.But the thing that shocked Ray wasn't the barrier but the items that were kept on the altar.There were three things on altar.
First,there stood the book with a thick white cover that seem to shine as bright stars in the dark night covered the one-third area of the altar that seperated the three items from eachother.The mana it radiated was so thick that it seems to became visible.
Second,there were six bottles that were kept together.In them stored an rainbow colored liquid that was giving magical energy and the smell of different materials composed in it so intense that Ray can smell it from outside the barrier. Even a child can tell that it was an elixir and one very potent and special at that.
Third,there was an egg. Yes, an normal looking white colored egg,but it as big as an football.It didn't give off an ridiculous amount of mana like the book or any magical energy like the elixir. It was just placed.Anyone will think that it was an normal egg just a bit big. But they will be utterly foolish because what the egg was releasing was pressure. A really big amount of pressure to be coming from an egg. Even though whatever beast was in it seems to growing in it. One thing was clear that when it will come out it will be revered as king of all the beast.
Seeing this phenomenon Ray was mesmerized to say atleast.But so many ridiculous things had happened with him today he was quick to recover from it. He started moving towards the barrier. After reaching it he asked the system about how to open the barrier.
"Hey, system how to do cross this barrier"
(Oh, it's no big deal just touch it and let it's energy flow through you until it returns back(/¯◡ ‿ ◡)/¯. )
"Is that it, just touching the barrier will allow me to cross"
(What do you mean by is that it ? It allows only you to pass it through because you have me The Great System. Even if the SSS- RANK attack it. It will take them a hell lot of time just to scratch the barrier. Don't underestimate it. It's made from a God Tier artifact.)
"Oh,God-Tier huh, I guess it lives upto its name. So you are like an key."
(Yes, i contain the power to open all the rest of the chambers also.)
"Rest of the chambers,you mean there are more then why this one specific chamber ?"
(Yes,there are and for your answer why this specific chamber because it's the chamber of beginning of claiming the legacy and if you were to go in any other you would be dead ten times over before you have woken you.)
Listening to system words a chill ran down his spine.He can't help but be nervous about what was coming for him from those chambers.But he kept those thoughts aside and put his hand on the barrier.As soon as he placed his hand on the translucent barrier.He felt some energy going through his body. From his hand to his heart from there to his legs and atlast to his head before returning like nothing was there.
*CRACK *CRACK
Just as the energy returned, cracks began to form in the barrier and in the seconds the barrier shattered. As if a dam was broken the magical energy that was inside the barrier flooded through the whole room. The pressure was so much that his knees started to bend under its weight but he held on and moved towards the book.After reaching it as soon he touched the book it began to glow with a more intense light than before. As the light became more and more bright information started to flood his brain giving him an enormous of pain.
"Ugh, aaaah...."
The pain was so much that he fell and started rolling on the ground. It felt like anyone was hammering the nails in his brain.He hit his head on the ground several times but anything didn't seem to work as several minutes passed. As if sensing he was on the last rope before losing consciousness.The pain started subduing a little and after a minute it disappeared.
"haa haa,damn just how much pain today I have to suffer" Just as he voiced several system notification started to sound his head.

He thought about how great of a skill this is and it's various uses.In fight,it can be very useful as he could think of various of strategies in seconds and it also enhances his senses and reflexes so it can save him from many life threatening situations.Plus it also increases his learning capacity and help him in theory in academics.
