Selene's POV
As I kneeled beside my mother's grave, the soft rustle of leaves and the gentle fragrance of lilies filled the air. It created a peaceful sanctuary away from the tumultuous life I'd come to know in the Rogue Pack. Clutching the bouquet of her favorite flowers, I began to speak softly as if she could hear me across the divide.
"Mom, it's me, Selene," I murmured, my fingers tracing the contours of the lilies, grounding myself with their purity. "I miss you more every day. There's so much to tell you."
I sighed, the weight of the past year pressing down on me. "Life has taken such unexpected turns since you left. I've found a new place—a pack where I don't have to hide who I am or what I can do. Kate and Lilian, they've become like family. They've shown me kindness and acceptance, just like you used to show to those lost Rogues who stumbled upon our doorstep."
