Nadia POV
I sprinted through the airport terminals, my breath ragged, heart hammering against my ribcage as I dodged weary travelers and echoing announcements. I was desperate, running on a mix of adrenaline and hope, praying I'd catch a glimpse of Mason before he vanished forever to Arkadia.
I needed to say goodbye, but as I reached the terminal, the departure board flashed the dreaded words: Flight 215 to Arkadia—Departed.
Staring through the glass at the runway, watching a plane lift into the evening sky, I felt a hollow pit in my stomach.
