Chapter 91

The next few days passed peacefully.

Sophie was angry at Anton for not telling her anything earlier.

Seeing his wound on his forehead and not being able to get anything out of him, she called Zick.

Hearing what happened, she wanted to hit her brother.

However, knowing that he was in a bad condition and feeling sympathy, she refrained from scolding him.

After making sure that everything was indeed in order, she and Darell returned to running the business with great relief.

The days passed slowly and the peace allowed everyone to regain balance.

Anton and Don's men recovered. The next day they were 'farewelled' and thrown out of Don's estate.

Anton's complaints were to no avail.

Taking great pleasure in tormenting Don, Anton knew he had to return to his father for a while anyway.

He had to help his father resolve the situation after Vasili's death.

After all, he was one of the Ruslanovs and certainly not a poor man.

Part of his business had to be liquidated forever and the rest managed accordingly.

After what he had done, no one was able to object to handing over the business to Gregorej.

The extended family wanted to get at least a piece of his fortune, but Gregorej wouldn't let anyone touch it.

Knowing who was best suited to run the business, he distributed the positions fairly, rewarding those who deserved it through hard work.

Of course, there were a few 'arguments' which Anton and his men resolved without any problems.

For some reason, a hacker employed by Vasili showed up at Gregorej's estate one day, asking to take him in.

Talking about his experiences with his former employer, he explained to them that he would provide them with all his data and would be happy to cooperate with them.

Gregorej, having checked the man beforehand, agreed to his proposal. In this way, Ruslanov gained another useful hacker.

A few weeks later, when everything was taken over smoothly, Anton returned to Darell's company.

Happy as ever, he ran into the office and, not caring about people, he took Noah in his arms and kissed him lusciously.

Every day without him felt like torture and the lack of his body warmth irritated him greatly.

But everything went away when he finally hugged him.

Noah tried to defend himself but Anton was much stronger.

When he finally enjoyed his closeness, he gave him one last kiss and went to meet Darell.

Entering as usual, without knocking, he found his sister in the man's arms.

"Sophie, mercy. Do you want my eyes to burn out?" He exclaimed, covering his face.

He still couldn't understand how his sister could be with someone like Darell.

However, it was her life and her choice.

Disgusted by the sight, he sat down on the sofa next to them and looked with disgust at the pleased Darell.

"Don't exaggerate, Anton. You're not hiding what you're doing with Noah in the office. Whatever the case, you should hold back at least a little, don't you think?" Sophie immediately scolded her brother, seeing that he had come to pick on Darell.

"Whatever you say, dear sister," Anton rolled his eyes and replied casually. "Speaking of your last request. We managed to find a little bit about where Luka is. Are you sure you want to find him and bring him here?" Anton asked, glancing at his sister's bright face.

"Did you really find him? Where is he?" She walked up to him and started shaking his shoulders.

"Calm down, Sophie. The boy won't run away. I still have to check exactly where Antonio hid him. After he left for another country, no trace of him was found, but only because his beloved daddy probably changed his identity. The twins are taking care of it, but it will probably take them some time. Finally, there is still the possibility that after changing his identity, Antonio sent him to another country. As soon as I find out anything, I'll let you know right away."

Anton ruffled Sophie's head with a slight smile. "No wonder your boy had trouble with it. He doesn't have the resources, unlike me." He added, looking at Darell victoriously.

"Thanks, Anton. Let me know if you find out anything, now go back to your office and do some work. You've got a lot of work to do." Sophie nudged her brother in the arm and shooed him out of Darell's office.

Groaning in displeasure, Anton left the room and left the two alone.

Darell walked up to Sophie, hugging her from behind and kissing her neck.

"What will you do when they find him?"

"I'll go get him. I'll take him back with me and make sure his father doesn't hurt him," Sophie leaned against the man's chest, happy that she would finally see her little brother.

"You will leave me alone? How am I going to survive without you?" Sophie felt a pang in her heart when she heard his sad voice.

"Don't you want me to bring him here?" She asked, turning her head and looking at him with her incredibly green eyes.

Darell looked at her gently with a slight smile, took her hand and led her to the sofa. He took her onto his lap and hugged her.

"I'm just worried about you. What if something happens to you? It would be nice if someone went with you" Cuddling into her, he didn't want to push the lonely nights he would have to spend without her.

Darell knew he wouldn't be able to go with her, especially since they didn't know how long it would take to bring Luka back.

What he didn't know was that Sophie was also worried about leaving him alone.

They got used to falling asleep cuddled together. Darell could finally sleep like a normal person.

What if it takes her longer to bring Luka back? Sophie didn't want to make her lover suffer.

Therefore, she had to wait patiently for news from Anton and figure out how to do it quickly.

Sophie didn't want to admit to Darell that she was practically addicted to him.

This time she was the one who couldn't sleep without his presence.

Every time he woke up early and went to work, she would wake up after a few minutes, sensing his absence.

What a strange turn of events. It seemed that they both became each other's cure…
