chicken Lover

"Sir!" the receptionist replied, seeing the assistant manager.

"The lady wants us to bring a guest who has come here for dinner, and when I told her it's against our policy to disturb our guests, she started threatening us for not obeying her." Although she complained, her words remained respectful.

Andrew asked Matthew, whose eyes were fixed on the second floor, "What's going on?"

Matthew replied, "I just saw that bastard here with that lady, going upstairs."

In his mind, he thought, "I'll let her know she's with the wrong guy, and I'm the right guy for her. Being with a real man feels different from that fake hired guy."

Andrew raised an eyebrow. "Who?... that hired ex-husband of Cynthia?" he asked.

Matthew nodded. "Yes, he's here. Let's drag that bastard here and see where he can run again."

The assistant manager saw this as an opportunity to rise through the ranks, as Andrew was a platinum user of the hotel.

He yelled at the receptionist, "Instead of finding that bastard, you're standing here like a statue! Where is he on the second floor? Send someone and drag that bastard here who has offended our esteemed guests."

He continued, "There's no place for troublemakers in our hotel. You'd better follow my command, or I'll fire you for misbehaving with our guests."

The receptionist and other staff members looked at the assistant manager, shocked. She spoke, "But, sir…"

Seeing the receptionist not obeying his command, the butler raised his hand to slap her, feeling disrespected. However, Andrew stopped him, knowing it wasn't wise to create a commotion with many people watching.

"Let it be."

He turned to Martha. "Aunt, we're here for lunch, so let's enjoy it. I'll call the police; don't worry, they'll handle it and capture him when he comes down."

Martha smiled. "If that's what you want, then okay, let's go." She glared at the receptionist, her gaze piercing.

If glares could kill, the receptionist would have died thousands of times.

Andrew, Matthew, and other members of the Charles family followed as Andrew called his man to come to the hotel. "Arrest him as soon as he comes out. There will be a woman with him; make sure to feed her some fake stories and stop her from helping him."

The man replied, "Yes, sir Andrew."

Then Andrew noticed Cynthia was not present among the members of the Charles family. He asked, "Where is Cynthia, Aunt? Will she come later?"

Martha sighed. "It seems she won't be coming. I contacted her, but she said she's busy with a project and doesn't have time for family gatherings."

Andrew felt his anger rising but subsided it. He was doing everything to reconnect with Cynthia, but he felt she was ignoring him, all because of one guy.

He swore in his mind, "I'll erase his existence from this world for entering Cynthia's life." Andrew believed Cynthia was ignoring him because of Noel, and he felt Noel had taken his place in her heart.

Even after their divorce due to family pressure, Andrew concluded that Cynthia still harboured feelings for Noel. Now, fuelled by rage and possessiveness, he vowed to destroy Noel, imagining himself ripping him to shreds and feeding his flesh to his hunting pets.

On the third floor, in the VIP box, Noel seated himself with Sameera, convincing Mona to join them, ignoring the butler's presence. "Come sit with us, don't just stand there," Noel said.

Mona hesitated, "But..." She looked at Sameera, who shrugged. "You're hired as his maid, so it's his decision." Sameera found it cute when Noel made efforts for others.

Noel added, "Now come and sit." He patted the empty space on the sofa.

Mona finally agreed and sat beside him, with Sameera on one side and Mona on the other, while the butler remained standing.

Then the receptionist called a waitress, saying, "Handle the guests." As she left the room, the waitress asked for their order.

Noel looked at the menu and saw many different types of dishes, some known and some unknown. He asked Sameera and Mona to order first.

Sameera ordered exclusive red wine and roasted lamb heart, while Mona ordered a single dish made up of many vegetables. Then it was Noel's turn.

He ordered, "One Chicken Parmigiana, one Chicken Tikka, one Schezwan Chicken, and..." He spotted another dish with chicken and added it to his order.

Sameera laughed, "You really like eating dishes made up of chicken; why don't you try something else?"

Noel smirked, "I'm a chicken lover, so my meal won't be complete without chicken in it."

Mona asked, "But you only ordered dishes with chicken; you haven't ordered anything else?"

Noel replied, "Why should I? You ordered, haven't you? I'll just take some from yours."

Sameera and Mona glared at him, saying in unison, "We won't."

As the waitress was leaving, she met the Charles family, led by another staff member, on the way.

Matthew said, "Why don't we check here and see where they're hiding?"

Samantha spoke, "Are you really Andrew's nephew? Do you think it's good to disturb other guests like this?"

Matthew replied, "What's there to fear when we have Brother Andrew here? Didn't you see how that assistant manager was fawning over him?"

The receptionist overheard this and stopped Matthew. "Sir, please refrain from disturbing other guests; otherwise, we'll ban you from entering this hotel again."

Matthew laughed, "Another stupid receptionist telling us about rules and regulations? Apologize, or you'll be fired like your fellow receptionist for behaving rudely to us."

The receptionist looked at Matthew, "And who is going to do that?"

Martha felt frustrated. "Andrew, make sure to tell that assistant manager to fire her too; she's ruining my mood."

The receptionist then looked at Andrew, who felt he had seen her somewhere before but couldn't recall. "Why does she feel familiar?"

Not wanting to ruin the mood, Martha headed ahead, with the others following. Andrew glanced at the receptionist, still trying to recall who she was.

The receptionist, meanwhile, didn't linger and left. She took out her phone and dialled the manager's number. As soon as he picked up, she recounted the entire incident.

The manager listened attentively and responded, "I was watching this and testing the staff to see how they handle the situation. But it seems we've hired some boot-lickers in this hotel. I'll handle the matter."
