Chapter 11: Exploration of the Room of Requirement

Chapter 11: Exploration of the Room of Requirement

Astronomy classes were only held on Wednesday nights, and there were no homework assignments for the first class of the new semester. After finishing afternoon classes, the freshmen were left with nothing to do. Avada wouldn't miss this precious time period.

The address of the Room of Requirement, the most mysterious and widely used room in Hogwarts, was saved in his mind. Once he successfully entered the Room of Requirement, it would mean his plan had taken a big step forward: Ravenclaw's diadem, the damaged vanishing cabinet, and his own secret research place.

Not only that, but there were also magical principles of the Room of Requirement, the magical structures of the Ravenclaw Diadem and the Vanishing Cabinet, Voldemort's soul fragments, and other magical items. If he could fully analyze them with his magical senses and use them to develop related spells.

Avada dared to guarantee that no treasure in the magical world was as valuable to him as the Room of Requirement.

So, after leaving the Transfiguration classroom, he rushed to the cafeteria like the other Hufflepuffs, planning to go to the eighth floor after dinner.

As a Hufflepuff, he couldn't miss meals.

"Hey, Ken!"

Avada looked in the direction of the voice and saw Baron coming out of the opposite corridor alone, waving at him.

"We meet again," Avada said, greeting his Hufflepuff classmates before temporarily leaving the group to walk side by side with Baron. "How do you feel about your first day of class?"

"Not bad." Baron's mouth curled up slightly. "Although most of these are things my parents taught me, it's still a new experience to cast spells with a wand myself. How is it on your side?"

"It's not that bad. I basically learned most of the spells during summer vacation, so it's not difficult to get started. Although Professor Binns' voice in the History of Magic class is a bit hypnotic, the history itself is still very interesting."

"You also find History of Magic interesting?" Baron asked, happy to have found a soulmate. "I just came out of the History of Magic class. You may not imagine that I was the only one awake in the whole class! Even those guys who performed well in the class before were taking a nap!"

"No need to imagine," Avada said, shaking his head and laughing. "It's the same here. I wonder if Professor Binns has some talent for hypnosis. He just started snoring in class after speaking a few words, even though what he was talking about was quite interesting."

"Yes," Baron said with emotion. "My parents have told me since I was a child that the glory of blood is hidden in history. Everything we enjoy now comes from the gift of history. As a pure-blood wizard, it is our responsibility to remember history and protect the truth. And we must not only remember honor but also remember the evil deeds that damage honor and reflect on and avoid them. Only in this way can the glory and bloodline continue to prosper forever."

"That's really admirable," Avada said, wanting to praise Baron further and discuss the history of magic together. But suddenly, he frowned and stretched out his hand to stop Baron from moving forward.

"What's wrong?" Baron asked.

"There's a small trap ahead." In just a few seconds, Avada had clearly seen the structure of the magic in front of him. His brows relaxed again, and he even felt like laughing.

"Finite Incantatem."

He pulled out his wand and waved it gently. A beam of white light spread out and swept across the corridor in front of him. After being swept, an area turned into a small piece of mud. Then, under the effect of the spell, it squirmed a few times and turned back into ordinary tiles.

Then Avada put away his wand in a cool manner and turned his eyes to the corner on the side with a playful look: "Two seniors, don't hide, come out."

As the words fell, two red-haired guys who looked almost identical walked out dejectedly.

Baron's pupils shrank as he remembered the Gryffindor legend that the Slytherin senior had solemnly warned him about last night.

"Merlin's beard, what a failure," one of the guys yelled with a gloomy face. "The moving swamp that we spent half a semester researching was cracked by a kid who just learned the levitation spell!"

"How did you do that?"

Avada looked at the twins scratching their heads in amusement and lied, "Unfortunately, the things I learned by myself are quite wide-ranging, and among them is the identification and removal of traps in Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"I suppose you are Gryffindor's trouble maker, mischief master, Fred Weasley and George Weasley? I am Hufflepuff, Ken, it's nice to meet you."

"Oh, it's you, the one who must not be named!" The twins shouted excitedly, turning to look at Baron: "Then you must be his 'buddy'!"

"Slytherin, Baron Shafik, it's an honor to meet two 'Mischief Maggs'." Baron rolled his eyes and retorted mercilessly.

"Mischief Maggs?" The twins were stunned at the same time, looked at each other, and ecstasy appeared in their eyes.

"Why didn't we think of this title before?!"

"Haha, the highest achievement of pranks, the 'Prankmagus' that rivals the 'Animagus' and the 'Metamorphmagus'!"

"As expected of a Slytherin who can make friends with Hufflepuff, his naming skills are really high!"

Then they ran away in a hurry, and it was unclear whether they were running away from the crime scene or to publicize their new titles.

Baron's forehead was throbbing with veins, and he said angrily, "This name is derogatory! Derogatory! I should call them Derogatory Maggs!"

"Then they'll probably be happier." Avada smiled and said, "Let's wait until this title spreads, and then let Professor McGonagall, a genuine Animagus, deal with them. We are going to be 'Rice Eaters' now."

"I finally understand why the seniors had that expression when they mentioned those two guys yesterday. They used hidden traps on the first-year students, openly admitted that they were Prank Maggs, and they also wanted to target Professor McGonagall..."

"Is this how Gryffindor courage is used?"

Until he was almost done with his meal, Baron was still somewhat indignant, and he bit the chicken leg with noticeable force.

After parting with Baron, Avada took advantage of the opportunity when there were not many people around and sneaked up to the eighth floor, coming to the opposite side of the tapestry of the giant beating Barnabas with a club. He casually used his magical senses to glance at the wall that hid the entrance to the Room of Requirement.

Hmm, I don't understand.

Let's go in and get the Horcrux first.

"The Room of Requirement is only open to those who truly need it..."

"Just kidding, no one needs the Room of Requirement more than me. Only I know how important the things in there are."

Avada kept repeating in his heart, "I need a room to hide things, I need a room to hide things...", and walked back and forth through that section of the wall three times. Suddenly, the magic structure inside the wall merged with his own overflowing spiritual power, and an extremely complex and strange change occurred. This change caused a door to appear out of thin air on the wall, and behind it was a sudden, extremely vast and hidden space.

Avada pushed open the door and walked into an extremely large and bright room. Even though the room was so large, countless messy things still filled almost every corner of the space. There was a flame burning in the water, a book that turned pages automatically, and what seemed to be a half-finished handmade golden snitch...

Countless complex and unfamiliar magical structures filled Avada's magical senses, causing him a headache and making him sigh that he had actually forgotten another value of the Room of Requirement:

In the millennium of Hogwarts, countless students have hidden their masterpieces or contraband from unknown sources in this house, causing the magical items here to pile up like a mountain!

Moreover, most of their principles are not complicated, at least much simpler and clearer than the Horcruxes and this magical house itself. This also means that Avada will have countless research and experimental materials. With the cooperation of magical senses, his progress will reach a level that others can't imagine.

Drool....

He subconsciously wiped the corners of his mouth, and almost enjoyed perceiving the magical structures around him that he could barely understand, allowing countless inspirations to burst into his mind.

At this moment, he only hated his mediocre memory and was unable to remember all those structures and fleeting inspirations!
