Chapter 114.3: New Materials Delivered to the Doorstep—Chu Yang vs. Tornado!

Iaian and the others were equally horrified.

"I heard that guy named 'Yang' became an A-class hero because he defeated a Demon-level monster."

"But that Demon-level monster… Master once said on TV that its destructive power was definitely at the Dragon-level."

Okamaitachi recalled more details. Among the four, he was the most familiar with Chu Yang's information.

"Defeating a Dragon-level monster solo… that's S-class hero territory!"

Bushidrill felt a headache coming on. If they'd known, they wouldn't have gotten involved.

Cracks began appearing on the building's surface. If the tug-of-war continued, it might collapse entirely.

Noticing this, Chu Yang forcibly pressed the building back to the ground, using an immense amount of magic to expel Tornado's psychic power.

Once her psychic grip dissipated, Tornado gasped for air, sweat pouring down her face. The unprecedented fatigue left her dazed.

Among everyone present, none were more shocked than her.

"You started it!"

Proud as she was, Tornado couldn't accept defeat. She rose higher, conjuring a massive storm. Her psychic energy became almost tangible.

From the clouds came the sound of objects piercing through the air.

One after another, enormous meteors, wreathed in flames, descended from space, aiming directly at the House of Evolution.

"A meteor shower, huh? Quite the spectacle."

Chu Yang admired the view calmly.

"This is bad! Everything around here will be destroyed!"

Fubuki trembled, sweat dripping from her brow. The sheer number of meteors would obliterate not just the House of Evolution but the entire mountain range and forest.

"This area is remote, so hopefully, no civilians are nearby…"

Iaian's voice trailed off as fear took over. They were barely able to ensure their own safety.

Then, they saw Chu Yang flying into the sky, rising to Tornado's level.

"Are you a psychic too?" Tornado asked, staring at him.

Chu Yang shook his head. "I have many occupations, but that's not one of them."

Tornado thought he was mocking her and grew angrier.

"Impressive scene, but this ends here. I don't have time to build a second lab."

Raising both hands, Chu Yang froze the descending meteors. This time, he combined magic with the Earth Release: Ultra-Lightweight Rock Technique.

The meteors floated silently in midair, unable to fall even a fraction further.

For the first time in her life, Tornado felt the same powerlessness Fubuki often experienced.

This man she had never met before seemed to completely counter her abilities.

"Don't think I'll admit defeat just like that!"

Tornado unleashed a torrent of psychic power, surging like a tsunami.

"You're really annoying."

Chu Yang snorted and didn't bother countering her psychic wave. Instead, he unleashed his full Conqueror's Haki.

An infinite golden wave engulfed Tornado's green psychic energy in an instant.

The presence of Conqueror's Haki, invisible to ordinary people, was an overwhelming reality in the eyes of Tornado and Blizzard. The two sisters simultaneously witnessed a vast golden ocean that filled the sky.

Its indescribable majesty and terrifying pressure evoked a suffocating feeling out of nowhere.

The moment her body was submerged in the Conqueror's Haki, Tornado's spirit and soul endured an unprecedented shock.

She was the person who had lasted the longest under Chu Yang's Haki to date.

It wasn't until ten seconds later that Tornado finally lost consciousness and plummeted from the sky.

Blizzard collapsed to the ground, staring blankly at the sky, murmuring, "Even my sister lost…"

Chu Yang used the Ultra Lightweight Rock Technique to gently lower Tornado, setting her down on the ground. He then habitually took out a syringe and ruthlessly jabbed it into her body.

"Looking at her malnourished state, I should draw less blood," Chu Yang muttered, shaking his head with a helpless smile. "Ah, I'm just too kind."

In the surveillance room, Dr. Genus twitched his lips.

Blizzard, worried about her sister's safety, mustered her courage and ran over. Seeing Chu Yang extracting blood, her body trembled uncontrollably.

The three members of Iaian's group had similar reactions, silently watching as Chu Yang filled an entire syringe with blood, their scalps tingling.

After extracting the blood, Chu Yang used a levitation technique on Tornado's body. She floated gently to Blizzard's side, who caught her sister in her arms.

"If you dare come back next time, I'll conduct deeper research on you. Don't blame me if you lose an arm or a leg…"

Chu Yang smiled mischievously at them.

Their hairs stood on end!

The four turned and fled simultaneously, tears welling up in their eyes as they ran for their lives.

Terrifying!

"Click, click."

Chu Yang turned his head, looking at the battered building left in ruins by the clash of magic and psychic energy. Shaking his head, he sighed helplessly.

It was clear that rebuilding was necessary.

"Maybe I should model it after the Avengers' base. After all, I'll need space for plenty of Iron Man suits in the future."

"I'll also have to upgrade security; I can't have just anyone barging in."

"Sending Tornado back this time… Does this mean Blast will come next?"

"Why do I feel like I'm walking further down the path of a villain…"

---

The second-ranked S-Class hero, Tornado, was carried back, still unconscious.

The entire Hero Association Headquarters—everyone from the directors to departmental leaders—received the news as long as their rank was high enough.

It was the mighty Tornado, after all!

The strongest hero aside from the number one, Blast.

And yet, she had been effortlessly defeated.

The Hero Association plunged into unprecedented chaos.

Without even needing a formal meeting, a crowd gathered at the conference room door.

"How could even Tornado be taken down?"

"If this gets out, the Hero Association's reputation will hit rock bottom!"

"What exactly is this House of Evolution?"

"You're asking the wrong question. The real focus should be the hero who defeated Tornado!"

"Hurry up and pull up his records!"

Secretaries rushed down the hallways. After some time, Chu Yang's registration details were placed on the conference table.

Under the ranking column, it read: A-Class.

The room fell silent.

Everyone looked at each other in disbelief.

"He's only been a hero for a few months?"

"Not through selection… He became a hero via recommendation. Who recommended him?"

The directors murmured among themselves, confusion evident on their faces. None of them recalled recommending this hero.

In a corner, a trembling hand was raised.

"I'm his recommender and liaison…"

Foster was nearly in tears.

He had hoped Chu Yang would one day become a high-ranking hero, boosting his own status and benefits within the Association.

But he had never imagined Chu Yang would make his mark like this.

"Since you're his liaison, you should know him well. Tell us, who exactly is this hero that defeated Tornado?"

The directors' gazes focused on Foster.

Foster's heart pounded in his throat as he reluctantly stepped forward to give a vivid recounting of how Chu Yang joined the Hero Association.

After gaining a basic understanding, one of the directors asked, "Foster, do you think Yang harbors hostility toward us?"

Foster shook his head. "I've never seen him go out of his way to cause trouble. As long as you don't provoke him, he won't provoke you. Yang is a very principled person."

The directors fell silent.

In truth, the trouble had started with Blizzard barging into someone else's territory uninvited, followed by Tornado escalating the situation into chaos.

They had no legitimate reason from the start. If anything, Chu Yang's actions seemed more like self-defense.

Perhaps slightly excessive self-defense…

"Ahem. Let's do this. Foster, you'll represent the Hero Association in negotiating with Yang and convey our apology."

"Agreed! And not just an apology; we should also raise his ranking!"

"A hero who can defeat Tornado shouldn't be stuck at A-Class—it's disrespectful!"

"Everyone, calm down. We should discuss this with him directly. If he's unhappy with the new ranking, it could cause further issues."

Foster was thrilled by the directors' sudden change in attitude.

Judging by their behavior, they seemed ready to make Chu Yang the Association's new face—a hero more powerful than Tornado and even capable of rivaling Blast.

If successful, the Hero Association's influence would soar.

This would bring in a flood of investments and advertisements, yielding massive profits with just a bit of publicity.

As the saying goes, when one person prospers, everyone around them benefits.

If Chu Yang became a top-ranking S-Class hero, Foster would likely earn at least a managerial position.

The mere thought of his future life made Foster grin uncontrollably.

Exiting the conference room, he prepared to meet Chu Yang. As he closed the door, he overheard the laughter inside and felt a peculiar sensation.

Not one person in the meeting cared about Tornado's condition.

They were only happy about the emergence of a new moneymaker.

A chill ran through Foster's heart.

---

Learning from past experiences, Foster called Chu Yang before visiting the House of Evolution. By the time he arrived, someone was already waiting to greet him.

To call it a person would be inaccurate.

It was an armored gorilla.

"A monster…"

Foster's mouth hung open in shock.

"Follow me. The boss is waiting downstairs."

The armored gorilla scratched its head, unsurprised by Foster's reaction. Working with Chu Yang meant such awkward moments were inevitable.

Foster followed the gorilla into the underground laboratory.

Chu Yang was seated in a room filled with strange devices, waiting for him.

Clearing his throat, Foster stepped forward and exchanged pleasantries.

Soon after, the armored gorilla arrived with coffee.

"This feels just like our first meeting," Chu Yang remarked, taking the coffee from the gorilla and handing it to Foster. Smirking, he teased, "Are you here to offer me another contract?"

Chu Yang's usual friendliness put Foster at ease. Laughing nervously, Foster replied, "Something like that."

He then explained the purpose of his visit, repeating the discussion from the earlier meeting.

"You know I've never cared about rankings. Honestly, I don't even care about being a hero."

"Whether my ranking rises or falls doesn't matter to me. Whatever makes you happy."

Chu Yang had only become a hero in City D to interact with Saitama. Now that he had acquired Saitama's blood sample, the hero profession held little significance for him.

"Feel free to state your conditions. Headquarters will try to accommodate," Foster said, rubbing his hands nervously. He dreaded Chu Yang's indifferent attitude.

After all, during their first meeting, Chu Yang had outright refused the Association's contract due to unsatisfactory terms.

"Conditions…"

Chu Yang pondered for a moment before smiling playfully. "My demands might be harsh. Are you sure you want to hear them?"

Foster's heart sank, but he forced a smile. "Please go ahead."

Chu Yang stated, "First, I want absolute autonomy in carrying out tasks."

In other words, he would only take assignments he felt like doing.

Foster breathed a sigh of relief, finding the request reasonable.

Many S-Class heroes were equally uncooperative.

Foster nodded. "That's not a problem."

"Second," Chu Yang's expression turned serious, "I need a large supply of monster corpses for research, especially those of Demon-level or Dragon-level monsters."

Foster froze, hastily explaining, "Monster corpses, especially Dragon-level ones, are valuable assets of the Hero Association. They've never been used for private transactions."

Chu Yang stared at him in silence.

"Please wait a moment."

Foster stepped aside, dialing a number and speaking urgently into the phone.

A few moments later, he returned with a regretful expression and shook his head at Chu Yang.

Chu Yang's face remained impassive, showing no visible emotion.

"In that case, I refuse this contract."
