Chapter 6: I Became Abigail and Started Making Trouble in the multiverse

"I believe Abigail. She has no reason to lie," Saeko Busujima said firmly, not falling for Koichi Shido's act.

"Mr. Shido, if you're saying the child isn't telling the truth, does that mean what you're saying is the truth?" Saya Takagi added pointedly.

Shido was momentarily at a loss for words. Then, as if struck by an idea, a smirk spread across his face. "Where's the evidence? Everything requires proof. Other than that little girl's wild claims, is there any other evidence?"

"Hmph, how could there possibly be evidence in that situation? If Abigail hadn't seen it, this whole thing would have been swept under the rug," Saya retorted.

"Miss Takagi, you can't make baseless accusations. That would be slandering me," Shido said, turning away with an air of innocence. "Students, are you really going to believe the unfounded ramblings of a little girl? No, perhaps this is a premeditated false accusation."

Hearing this, some students immediately chimed in. "Teacher, we believe you. But what do you mean by false accusation?"

"Students, I'm sure you all understand that the most important thing for a group is having a leader. Right now, only Dr. Marikawa and I are teachers here. But as you know, Dr. Marikawa is notoriously absentminded, so I'm clearly the only one who can lead everyone. However, with this incident, I have reason to suspect someone is trying to undermine my position and prevent me from becoming the leader..."

Shido paused, looking at the students behind him. "Who could that person be?"

Sure enough, someone quickly took the bait. "Who is it?"

"I don't know for certain, but I have reason to suspect Miss Busujima. Besides myself, she's undoubtedly the most suitable candidate to be leader here. If my reputation is damaged, Miss Busujima could naturally take over as leader."

"What nonsense are you spouting? Saeko would never do something like that!" Kohta Hirano interjected angrily, unable to listen any longer.

"Oh, Kohta Hirano. Do you have any evidence to prove what I'm saying is wrong?" Shido asked with a smug smile, feeling he had won over public opinion.

"I don't have evidence, but..."

"But you can just falsely accuse me? As expected, Mr. Hirano is a troublemaker, just like the rumors say."

"Hey, Mr. Shido, you're going too far. Besides, you don't have any proof that Saeko framed you either," Saya cut in, clearly annoyed.

"That's right, which is why I only said I suspect her. Miss Busujima, can you do something to clear your name?"

Saeko turned to look at Shido, fully aware of his intentions. But she also knew that no matter how she responded, it would play into his hands.

"Saeko, don't fall for his trap. He's just trying to force you to give up the leadership position," Saya warned.

"Takagi, I never wanted to be the leader in the first place. If we really need to choose a leader, there's no need to consider me," Saeko replied calmly.

Hearing this, a satisfied smile spread across Shido's face. "It seems this wasn't Miss Busujima's doing after all. I wonder who it could be then?"

"Mr. Shido, don't you think this is all rather pointless?" Saeko said coldly.

"Well then, students, I'm a very forgiving person. For Miss Busujima's sake, let's put this matter to rest. But I do think we need a leader, don't you agree?"

Shido's manipulative tactics had been remarkably successful. He had managed to shift the focus, establish himself as a magnanimous figure, eliminate Shizuka Marikawa and Saeko Busujima as potential rivals, and continuously brainwash the students into believing he was the best choice for leader.

Now it was time to reap the rewards. Everyone except the main group and the time travelers had been swayed to Shido's side.

"It seems the matter of leadership has been settled," Shido declared triumphantly, raising his hands in victory. He was clearly relishing the moment.

Suddenly, the bus came to an abrupt halt. The unexpected stop sent the unsupported Shido tumbling to the floor.

"Goddammit, I can't take this bullshit anymore! I hate manipulative bastards like you. Becoming my leader ain't gonna be that easy," Qi zhou growled as he stood up from the driver's seat, brandishing a fire axe as he approached Shido menacingly.

"Now, now, my becoming leader was the majority's decision..." Shido began nervously.

"I don't give a damn about the majority. As long as I object, no one's gonna be my boss," Qi zhou snarled, grabbing Shido by the shoulder.

"What do you think you're doing?" Shido demanded, trying to maintain his composure despite his fear.

"You want to be my leader? Prove yourself then. I only follow those stronger than me."

With that, Qi zhou dragged the protesting Shido off the bus.

"W-wait, what are you planning? Murder is illegal! There are witnesses!" Shido stammered, looking desperately at his former supporters. But the students cowered in their seats, unwilling to intervene.

"Relax, I'm not going to kill you. I just want you to complete a small task," Qi zhou said ominously. He turned back to the bus. "Hey, you with the baseball bat. Let me borrow it."

Kohta tossed his bat to Qi zhou . "The name's Kohta Hirano."

"Right, I'll remember that. Thanks, Kohta," Qi zhou replied, catching the bat. He turned and handed it to the trembling Shido.

"See those zombies over there? Now go smash all their heads in. Got it?"

Shido took the bat with shaking hands, looking where Qi zhou pointed. A few zombies wandered aimlessly in the distance, scattered and not too numerous. Dealing with them wouldn't be difficult.

"You can't do this! This is attempted murder!" Shido protested.

Qi zhou remained unmoved. "So what if it is? I've said my piece. Either go kill those zombies, or cower in the back like the coward you are. Stop trying to fool everyone."

"You..."

"Enough talk. Make your choice!"

Qi zhou rested the axe on his shoulder, clearly not open to discussion.

Watching this unfold, Abigail gained a newfound respect for Qi zhou . *This guy usually acts like a brute, but he can be quite clever when it counts. Interesting.*

"You expect me to take on all those zombies? What about you? Do you dare go?" Shido challenged.

"Coward. A few zombies scare you this much? Fine, I'll show you how it's done. Go hide in the bus like a scared little rabbit."

Qi zhou snatched the bat back from Shido and tossed it to Kohta. "Thanks man, here's your bat back."

"No problem," Kohta replied, catching it.

"Alright you wimp, get lost. Watch how I deal with these zombies."

As Qi zhou strode towards the zombies, Shido glared hatefully at his back before climbing onto the bus and heading for the driver's seat.

"You have fun hacking away at those zombies," Shido muttered as he reached for the ignition. Suddenly, he froze as something cold pressed against his neck.

"Mr. Shido, what do you think you're doing?" Saeko's icy voice came from behind him, her katana resting on his throat.

"Miss Busujima, that man is insane. We can't let him back on the bus. I'm doing this for everyone's safety," Shido pleaded, his hand closing around the keys. He was betting Saeko wouldn't actually kill him.

Saeko indeed didn't kill him, but his hand wasn't so lucky. With a swift motion, she sliced Shido's arm. The cut wasn't deep, but it drew blood.

"Ahhh!" Shido cried out in pain, clutching his wounded arm.

A blonde student approached from the back. "Saeko Busujima! You..."

But he trailed off when Saeko turned her cold gaze on him. Noticing the tense atmosphere and the weapons readied by the main group, he quickly backed down.

"Is there a problem?" Saeko asked calmly.

"N-no, nothing," the student mumbled, retreating.

Meanwhile, Qi zhou returned after dispatching the zombies. "See that, coward? That's how it's done."

Noticing the situation on the bus, he quickly grasped what had happened. "You bastard, you tried to abandon me? I'll teach you a lesson."

Qi zhou grabbed Shido by the neck and dragged him off the bus. "Thanks, miss. I owe you one," he said to Saeko.

As Shido panicked, Qi zhou pulled him towards another group of zombies. "I'll feed you to the zombies, you piece of shit."

"Wait, Qi zhou , please don't do this," Kohta called out, jumping off the bus.

"Stay out of this, Kohta. This asshole tried to get me killed. He doesn't deserve to live."

"Qi zhou , I know Mr. Shido did wrong, but we can't just murder people!"

"He already tried to have me killed. Why should I spare him? Don't try to stop me, I've made up my mind."

Kohta gripped his bat tightly as he watched Qi zhou drag the pleading Shido towards the zombies.

"No, please, don't! Help! Don't kill me!" Shido wailed, tears streaming down his face as Qi zhou dragged him towards the zombies. He desperately hoped someone would save him, but no one came to his aid except Kohta.

"Qi zhou , stop this! No matter what, Mr. Shido is still a human being. We can't just kill people!" Kohta shouted, running in front of Qi zhou to block his path.
