Magic 101

Ok let's begin reading then, as I opened the book and begin to read the first page. The book pretty much explained what magic was and that it is used through the energy called Mana, it also stated that it was used to either make the lives of the beings who use it better or to use it in battle, I learned that everyone who is born in this world carries a different amount of Mana inside of them at birth which slowly grows as the person learns more about it.

"Well I guess if I begin to learn about it from a young age I will be able to increase my magic power faster than others Right?"

I also found out that natures of magic are also divided into different types and sub types, like the most common nature is that of water the second most common is earth, the third is fire and one of the most uncommon or rare one is wind, which is said to be extremely hard to control and learn but if one manages to control its full potential that person will be considered an extremely strong and talented individual, but it also states that people can be born with more than one nature or later in life with practice can control multiple natures .

"I wonder which nature i have or I might even have multiple nature wait let's not get too excited it's just the beginning let's just keep reading."

The book looks pretty old so there might be some information missing but I guess I should be happy with this right now let's try and find out on how I can use magic, The book also had other important information about the nature of magic and how if multiple nature are combined another could be created or if the correct technique is applied channeling multiple natures can be possible, reading more I came across the basic of magic gathering and magic control, the gathering technique was pretty much like one of those cultivation technique where I need to concentrate and learn how to feel the magic around me and then inside of me.

"Ok let's use the gathering technique first, it says to just relax and clear my mind while trying to feel the flow of magic around and inside of me."

"Wait what about Amara what if she sees me using this technique?" As I look back at her I see that Amara had fallen asleep while keeping a look at me.

"Well I guess the coast is clear for me."

As I begin to use the technique first it was hard to feel anything other than the air, but slowly as I focus more I begin to feel a strange energy it's not much but it's around me, one of the strongest source I can feel is Amara herself I can also feel her mana spreading around the room i should try and gather this mana but first I need to feel my own flow of mana inside of me, as I try more and more I finally feel the surrounding mana seeping into my body slowly as I feel this sensation I try to accelerate it by trying to absorb more mana from the surrounding as I slowly began to do after a while everything went dark.

After a while i woke up, I realized that I had fainted somehow, looking around i saw that Amara was still sleeping beside the crib and my mana had increased a lot and now I could feel the surrounding mana more easily, as I looked at the clock I realized that it was nearly 5 o'clock at the afternoon and time for lyra to come back home, I read as much as I could before lyra arrived.

 As the door opened the sound of it opening woke up amara from her sleep who quickly realizes that she had been sleep for a while and takes the book from me and places it where it was before and took on a nervous posture while welcoming lyra back.

"You look tired did you two play a lot?" Lyra asks Amara.

"Yeah we did." Amara says with a nervous tone.

"Lucian also looks happy it seems you to had a lot of fun together, then you will be eating dinner with us right?" lyra asks amara while picking me up from the crib in her arms.

"No I need to leave its late but thanks." Saying this amara runs out of the front door.

"She must have something to do, what about you Lucian are you hungry?" Lyra asks Lucian.

"HOW COULD I HAVE FALL A SLEEP I AM A DISGRACE TO MY FAMILY!!" Amara screams while running towards her house.
