This novel starts intentionally slow through the exposition and world building, everything kicks into gear after the turning point in the latter half of Volume 1, and especially Volume 2, where the tone of the novel shifts. So, I hope you stick with it and enjoy the wild ride!

"I - I'm busy." Faith stammered as she repressed a shudder.

The strange, but beautiful man glanced pointedly around the quiet bar, where he sat alone, with only a few patrons seated already at the tables behind them, their drinks full.

"Surely, you can spare me a few moments." He smiled pleasantly and she felt her heart flutter at the way his already perfect face became angelic and almost ethereal.

"Why? I don't even swing that way mate." She swallowed down her nervousness and looked away from his sapphire eyes.

Noe chuckled lightly, "While that is a shame, but I really just want to have some nice conversation, I swear it." He held up his hands in mock surrender and gave her a sheepish smile.
