This novel starts intentionally slow through the exposition and world building, everything kicks into gear after the turning point in the latter half of Volume 1, and especially Volume 2, where the tone of the novel shifts. So, I hope you stick with it and enjoy the wild ride!

Love pushed Captain Hunter through the opening and he stumbled forwards into the tunnel, passing Ezra with an expression of deep loathing.

Ezra ignored him and observed Love with apprehension, as she waited for the others to walk ahead.

"Are you coming?" Till asked, turning back and noting that neither of them had moved.

Love nodded her head slowly, "We'll follow in a moment. Just get back and clean up, we'll meet in Ezra's office. Him too." She stared pointedly at Captain Hunter who turned away with a shrug.

"I have nothing to hide. I'm still the Captain, Love. I'll meet you there because I want to know what you've all been doing." He replied calmly.

Till walked behind him anxiously, staring at Kit's back, 'I shouldn't have told him about Noah. I was just so angry. Shit, what will happen now? Will he report me?'
