Battling rogue vampires, mutated creatures and her own past, Love works to unravel the mysteries behind the secretive Helsing unit, and tries to become the bridge between humans and vampires in a world filled with discrimination. 

This novel starts intentionally slow through the exposition and the early world and character building, BUT everything kicks into gear after the turning point in the latter half of Volume 1, and especially Volume 2, where the tone of the novel shifts. So, I hope you stick with it and enjoy the wild ride!

He whipped his head around towards the sound of the quiet, breathy voice.

Standing in the corner of the dingy alleyway stood a woman, with pristine ivory skin, appearing to glow like moonlight even under the shade of the alley.

Now, seeing her up close, he found that she was even more beautiful than he had first thought.

Her clothing was plain and nondescript; a simple, white summer dress with tan sandals, but the rest of her was far from plain.

From her perfectly symmetrical, heart-shaped face to her full, rose-coloured lips, rich mahogany hair that fell in graceful waves to the middle of her waist and the thick, dark lashes that framed her closed eyes, he felt that his own comparisons to an angel were almost laughable.

'A little conspicuous, but I appreciate the view.'
