Apologies

Suzzy looked at the guy he once loved and still does.

" I'm sorry but we can't go back to how we were. It's all in the past now. Let's focus on ourselves."

"NO, I refuse to focus on myself if you're not part of it. Suzzy, I'm sorry. I know you have no right to forgive me but at least let me prove to you how sorry I am. Please" Samuel said at the urge to tear up.

He was so stupid to hurt his little angel, the woman who made him see everything in a new perspective.

" I'm sorry," Suzzy said before getting out

Samuel punched the wall before wiping his hands on his face. He refuses to let go of her.

It had been hours since Avery was sent to the emergency room, Alex kept pacing back and forth, waiting for any news. About five hours later, the door to the ER was opened. Albert got out, and Alex rushed towards him.

" How is she doing?" Alex asked in a hoarse voice

" She's out of danger, but you can't go in now, we have to transfer her to another ward."

" I want to see her now," Alex exclaimed

Suzzy scoffed before saying;

" My friend is in this situation because of you, can't you give her a day to rest without interfering"

The was a long pause when she said that. Alex licked his lips before saying;

"I will visit her tomorrow" Before he said that he walked away

Suzzy was right, Avery was in this situation because of him. If he had nothing to do with Veronica none of this would have happened.

Samuel stared at Suzzy before he followed his friend. He couldn't afford to fuck up now.

Suzzy sighed, she couldn't believe what just happened, those two were crazy, Avery was pushed out of the ER, and she almost teared up when she saw her friend. She stayed with Avery till the next morning, but she had to bring a change of clothes and other stuff.

Alex kept pacing in his office, he didn't know whether he visit Avery, she was in this condition because of him. Yesterday was a hectic day got everyone and what Suzzy said was right, that was why he made sure anyone who was involved in Avery's kidnapping was swiped out of the earth. And he meant it. He went back to the warehouse, just to make sure nobody survived. He was relieved when he saw Veronica's dead body, that was what he thought, he also saw some body parts. He left the place and drove straight to the hospital to visit Avery, before getting into her ward, he heard laughter which he recognized. His heartache, who was she laughing at? Avery has never laughed in front of him. He knocked on the door before entering. His heart clenched against his heart, and bandages were wrapped around her head. He cleared his throat to gain the two ladies' attention. The smile on her face vanished when she locked eyes with him.
