In truth, Compress had only asked out of habit. Even as he spoke, he was already turning to enter the portal, not expecting Kurogiri to answer at all.

"Then give Kyoka back to me first!"
The blue-gold tornado still raged in the distance when a long leg, crackling with high-voltage currents, struck Compress's white mask like a golden flash.

In the next instant, the mask was shattered into pieces. His body was swallowed by countless electric snakes and thrown back.
Even worse, the farther he flew from the black portal, the closer he came to the still-spinning blue-gold tornado behind him.

Kaminari was briefly at a loss.

"Catch as many as I can… and use them to trade for Kyoka with All For One!"
"Seems we have to take this more seriously now," Kurogiri suddenly said, and a large amount of black and purple mist began pouring from his body.
The smoke rapidly formed thick waves of fog, rising higher and higher, spreading across the entire forest clearing—and even further. Like a black tide, it swallowed tree after tree.

"Hmph, dramatic as ever."
Kaminari stared at the black mist with disdain. He stepped forward, and a blinding burst of electricity exploded from his body.
Although the electricity dissipated the moment it touched Kurogiri's Quirk, more voltage instantly surged to replace it.
"Overwhelm all with sheer force! No matter where you hide, Kurogiri, I'll wipe you out completely!"
Suddenly, the electric snakes swirling around him paused for a split second. Then, all the currents gathered into a single beam of golden lightning and spread out at light speed.
From the night sky, it looked like a massive golden lightning pillar, thirty or forty meters tall. As it flared even brighter, it swept through and engulfed all of the black mist.
"God's Sanction."
