Chapter Sixty-Five: Going Lower

Orion’s POV

‘I'll text you very soon… Don't make any silly moves.’

Staring at the words for a long time, I don't know what to make of it. If to see this as a threat, or a plea.

Ideally, my phone should be buzzing with texts and calls from Avery’s end, instead, it's more like she is giving me instructions.

“A pack of chocolate cookies.”

The voice of a client makes me take my eyes off the phone.

She is a vibrant teenager, with sport wear like she went hiking. Her body is half covered in sweat.

“How about you opt for butterscotch flavor?”

I suggest, watching her pant as she breathes heavily.

The chocolate flavor may sort of stimulate her, maybe not so much, but she needs something soothing and yummy as well.

“It's just as satisfying.”/

I add, dishing the requested cookies in a small disposable bag.

“Okay.”

She shrugs.

Dumping the first order, I go for the tray of butterscotch cookies. It's still a bit hot, being the last I did.

“Here you go.”
