Chapter Sixty-Three: Slow Poisoning

Orion’s POV

“I have a surprise for you.”

Andrew's expression makes me more curious.

His lips spread apart in a goofy grin, as he looks at me best myself in in futile guesses.

“Andrew?”

My brows knit in the center as I hold his smiley gaze.

“What?”

“I should be asking you that, what's the surprise?” I try to make it out of him.

“Would it be a surprise if I told you?”

He raises his eyebrows, waiting for a genuine response.

Of course not, but suspense isn't something I'm trained to handle.

“Just a tip won't hurt.” I press on.

“Okay.” He shrugs. “How about this, get your ass ready by noon?”

I giggle.

“You got it,” I affirm. “It's not like I've got a job that keeps me busy.”

“You don't have to be too mean to yourself.” He cautions me. “Well, get ready, we leave by noon.”

“An-”

He signals a ‘no’ to me, shaking his fingers in the air.

Not waiting one more second, scared that I'd make him spill the bean, he rushes out of my room.
