The Fallen Angel (1/3)

"So?" Yuma asked with a smirk seeing the job role she wanted to help me get. A bartender, I looked at the information on the paper that had all the information on the job, before nodding lightly.

"This would do. Two to three weeks working here should be enough for me to make enough money to do what I want," I said lightly, thanking Yuma, who didn't expect me to be so grateful, but she snorted.

"Whatever," She said to which I smiled while getting ready to head home.

"It was nice meeting you, it's clear you grew up in an environment that forced you to have such a mindset as you have now. Go out sometimes and live in peace and see what you want... I also owe you one, so take this until I repay my favor." I said while secretly using creation magic, creating a necklace from nothing.

"..." Yuma looked at the necklace I handed to her, and she took it with a lost look. She looked at it for some time, before she looked up to find I was walking away.

"Why do you need money when you can just sell this? It should be worth a lot." She yelled at me, not understanding my actions.

"I don't want to sell it, you're simply holding on to it for me," I said with a smirk, leaving her stunned that I would trust her so much. She watched as I disappeared before she turned and left, her mind racing with the day she just had.

'I wonder if she was a devil... why are they called devils in this world and not demons?' I thought while heading back home. Although I avoided looking to see other races since I honestly couldn't care if they were a god, devil, or human, I wasn't dumb enough to see that Yuma wasn't human.

She fought with the skills of someone who had lived for hundreds of years, facing who knows what. She was too skilled for someone of her age, and her mind also showed she wasn't normal.

I liked to see myself as an easygoing person, I didn't have any grand goals like ruling the world, gaining unmatched power, or anything like that. I of course wasn't a fool, I knew strength was needed to protect the simple life I had... but this matter is for a later time.

"I'm home," I said lightly, just to find my mother was already fast asleep. I sighed while walking over to her. Today was the day I created the 100 spells I needed to create the map to lead me to the source of her problem, but I found nothing.

Her Sacred Gear was hiding it from me, and I realized her Sacred Gear was the thing keeping her alive. It was making it harder for me to save her, while at the same time, it was saving her. If it had not been for the sacred gear, I could have found the problem long ago.

I realized this disease had been building up for years, and it was showing itself during the past few weeks.

"Well, I will strengthen your sacred gear... I guess a million times stronger... no, that might kill her... I will strengthen it bit by bit over time, and hopefully, it could erase the problem." I said while waving my palm, and with that, her sacred Gear grew in power.

If I wanted, I could make that sacred gear have so much power, it could erase all devils with its overwhelming power to heal.

'This might draw unwanted problems,' I thought while casting a few spells that would hide the Sacred Gear aura before I took her to bed. After, I went on to sit down and sign the papers I needed.

"You're looking better," I said seeing my mother up, although she was tired and weak, she was slowly gaining her strength.

"Yeah..," She said while watching me get ready to head off to school. She paused for some time, not knowing what to say before she spoke.

"I want to see your girlfriend, I will try and stay up to see her." She said lightly, to which I nodded and headed off. She watched me leave, before she sat down, lost in thought about everything...

"You can't just skip school like this," Sona said with a frown seeing me on the roof, playing on my 3ds.

"I thought I could skip classes so long as my grades weren't affected," I asked, to which Sona held her head, speechless.

"Did you and Rias fight?" Sona asked changing the subject. I looked at her in confusion, yesterday Rias didn't come to walk me home, and now Sona was saying we fought... that was weird.

"What happened?" I asked with a deep frown, but Sona didn't say anything, her head lost in deep thought. I frowned, but after some time I decided to say anything and do nothing. I will wait for Rias to approach me...

"... He doesn't want anything to do with the supernatural world, but that doesn't mean he doesn't want to be with you," Akeno said while looking at the depressed Rias, who ignored her. Akeno had a speechless look until she saw a white-haired loli walking over.

"Anos was seen with someone who should be a fallen angel." She said causing Rias to instantly jump up.

"Even if he doesn't want to do anything with the supernatural world, the supernatural world would be drawn towards him... turn him into a devil," Akeno said, trying to be the voice of reason here.

"I will not force that option on him... he needs me," Rias said in horror. The thought of the possibility that could befall me caused her to quickly teleport to Kuoh Academy before she rushed to my classroom, where she saw me resting my head upon my palm.

I looked over, and seeing her I got up and left the class to speak with her. Rias paused, not knowing what to say seeing this.

"Is everything alright? Communication is key to any health relationship..." I said lightly, to which Rias paused for some time before she slowly spoke.

"Well... it's nothing. I just need some more time." Rias said to which I nodded calmly. Rias held my hands, before hugging me tightly, and to this, I was left speechless. From the looks of things, Rias found out something that she wanted to tell me, but she was too scared to say a thing. The news was big enough to make her think I would leave her... did she cheat? No, her body screams something else.

"My mother wanted to meet you..." I said lightly, to which Rias paused for a moment before she nodded...

"I'm home," I said while returning home, finding my mother was awake, trying her best to work on her laptop and do her job. But she was struggling to do so.

"You're back... and this must be the girl who managed to make you go against your words." She said with a smile, while getting up, ignoring my glare. Why was she up and trying to work instead of doing something simple like resting?

"Anos, go get us something to eat." My mother said causing me to raise an eyebrow, not liking the way she was ordering me around. This caused her to remember the type of person I was, causing her to sigh.

"Please, honey." She said in defeat, to which I nodded calmly. I didn't like being bossed around, treat me with some respect and everything was cool.

"What do you want with my son?" My mother asked coldly once I left, and this left Rias nervous, not knowing what to say. She tried to speak, but she didn't know what to say... so she spoke the truth.

"I fell in love with him at first sight... but I understand he wouldn't want me knowing I'm a devil," Rias said with a downcast look, leaving my mother speechless for a second before she struggled to use some magic, which shocked Rias.

"he wouldn't reject you for that, he just wants no part in it. My son is special... he never planned to have a girlfriend or even get married as he saw it as chains." She said lightly while sitting down, too tired.

"The fact he broke his promise with his huge ego... it shows he loves you," She said while looking at Rias, who was moved by her words.

"Ego?" Rias asked to which she nodded.

"My son is a genius, easily able to learn any form of magic I taught him. he could create new forms of magic with but a thought, no matter how complex or law-breaking... he could do just about anything. I guess that's why he rather be human, it's harder to be a human than it is to play with magic." She said leaving Rias stunned,

"... That's hard to believe," Rias said before pausing as she remembered the power of love, that was his doing.

"It seems like he had dropped hints... I don't think he would ever tell you he has magic, he rather live a normal life... so, if you going to date my son, you should know that." She said, to which Rias thought for some time before nodding.

"Okay... I will keep him far away from the devil matters." Rias said, knowing she would need to hide the fact she had a boyfriend, she needed to go to spread news that she dumped and killed her boyfriend across the demon realm to avoid trouble.

She made plans to put 1,000% of her effort into training, she shall train day and night to ensure that she could keep the supernatural world away...
