EDWINA
I couldn't take my eyes away from the picture. Noah was laughing, his eyes bright and filled with warmth.
He looked excited, his lips spread in a wide grin.
My eyes weren't on the camera. I was looking directly into the eyes of a strange woman, my arms wrapped around her.
I must have said something funny, because the picture froze her in place as laughing, staring at me with obvious and blatant happiness on her face.
From the expression on mine, this was someone very familiar. And important.
Someone I should remember.
So I asked Kieran who she was. Only to be met with silence.
It was weird. If this woman was someone close to me, why did she not come to check up on me at the hospital?
Even my father had been calling me incessantly since I woke up, and I had a feeling that of all the people I've met and spoken to since I woke up from the coma, this woman was the most important of them all.
