EDWINA
I had left work earlier than usual because an idea popped into my head and I could not wait to carry it out.
So I left when it was around time for Noah's school to close, and picked him up.
Before we went back to Kieran's, we went to the mall first. Got a lot of balloons and other decorations, all in bright and cheerful colors.
I had Noah pick the colours he wanted, and my son had a lot of fun choosing out what we needed.
Yellow, red, and a little bit of gold here and there were his color choices, and it became kind of obvious that Noah had a preference for colors that shout.
It looked festive, and I could barely manage to hide my anticipation. Once we had everything we needed, we —made our way home — headed back to Kieran's house.
It was weird, seeing how I referred to Kieran's house as home. I wasn't sure of how Kieran would react, but I was determined to make this special.
