CHAPTER 164

KIERAN

Edwina spent almost ninety days at the hospital.

Three months.

I stayed with her and rarely left her side. We watched over our girl together, and it was heart warming to watch her grow from a premature into a full baby.

When the doctor finally gave us the go ahead to leave, I was more than glad to oblige him.

Very gently, I helped my wife out of the hospital and into the car.

The baby was placed in a baby holder, secured at the back seat of the car.

"Ah. Finally. Fresh air after so many days in that hospital," Edwina muttered as she rolled down the window and stuck her head out.

"Hey. Hey. You have to be careful about that," I said, my eyes flitting between her and the road.

My wife turned an amused face to me.

"Come on, don't be such a party popper. It's not as if I am dancing on the roof or anything."

"The doctor said you have to be careful, baby," I insisted.

She rolled her eyes at me.
