EDWINA
I couldn't concentrate at work.
Kieran's words haunted me. It kept echoing in my head until it was all I could hear.
'Something is wrong with our son.'
What could be wrong with Noah? He had always been a cheerful, mushy and playful child. My baby had no worries.
But the question he asked me tore my heart until pieces, and I could feel the weight pressing down on me.
'Do you hate me now?' Is that why you won't talk to me?'
When Kieran first mentioned that Noah insisted that he had something to do with me, I thought it was one of his stories.
Despite my promise to leave work early and spend some time with them, I kept forgetting.
Was Kieran right to be mad at me? He would not even talk to me anymore. When I heard his voice this morning, I had been relieved.
But the exchange didn't turn out well. It left me feeling…weird.
