The Battle

Diary,

Kyros's frown deepened as I closed my eyes and took deep breaths, trying to calm down and concentrate. The atmosphere was suffocating and oppressive! I felt this sudden weakness that made me drop to the floor as the other cultists began chanting strange, demonic words. I knew this was an attack.

Then I heard something- a voice, speaking in another language, different from the cultists. It sounded like a prayer, a desperate groan that came from within the heart. It was deep and carried power- Anaia was speaking in tongues! My eyes watered as I looked over at her. She was praying very passionately, her eyes shut and her face full of concentration. Tony was praying also, cancelling and frustrating the activities of demons, Ray and Lissa were also praying- then I realised I was the only one that was quiet. Immediately, I began to call upon the Lord, praying and crying unto Him to bring down His judgment on these evildoers. The atmosphere became very tense.

"Stop! Stop it! What are they doing?! Stop them now!" Kyros screamed, interrupting their chanting, blocking his ears and pointing. A few men ran to us, gagging my friends and dragging me towards their altar.

"Nooo! Please don't hurt my daughter! "Mum cried out as Kyros gagged her also. Although, I didn't stop praying and Kyros let out a frustrated groan. I felt a hard substance hit the back of my head and I blacked out instantly.

-----

The armies of darkness descended upon the city like a swarm of locusts. Demons of every shape and size poured in, their twisted forms writhing with malevolent intent. The air was thick with the stench of brimstone and decay.

There I was, standing at the forefront of the battle. I saw my armor shine with a holy light, and my sword sliced through the enemy ranks with deadly precision. But despite my bravery, I knew the true battle was not against flesh and blood.

"Lord, I need your help!" I cried out, my voice carrying above the din of battle. "I can't hold out much longer!"

As if in answer, a mighty angel descended from the heavens. Its wings beat the air, creating a whirlwind that sent demons flying. The angel's sword flashed with a light that seemed almost divine, cutting through the enemy lines with ease.

The demons howled in rage and terror as the angel fought its way towards me. When we finally met, the angel placed a hand on my shoulder, and a surge of holy energy flowed through me.

"Stand firm, Sandra," the angel said, its voice like thunder. "The Lord is with you."

With renewed strength and courage, I charged back into the fray. My sword sliced through the enemy ranks, and the demons began to falter. The battle was far from over, but I knew that with God on my side, we would emerge victorious.

As the fight raged on, I caught glimpses of other warriors of the Lord, each one fighting with a similar ferocity and faith. Together, we formed a phalanx of righteousness, pushing back against the forces of darkness.

In the end, it was not just a battle of swords and shields, but a clash of spiritual armies. God was on the move and He was set to do great things. Our victory was sure in Christ.

My eyes flew open immediately as I saw Kyros, with his hands raised, he was holding an axe directly above me as I struggled to break free but realised that I had been tied to the altar.

"The Lord has given me victory and by the power of the most high, I escape from your grip like a bird from the snare of the fowler!" I said, my voice shaky but my faith steady. Kyros let out a laugh of mockery but his laughter was cut short mid way and he dropped his axe, clenching his throat and making choking noises. A few cultists ran to his side and surprisingly, as each of them touched him, they started choking too. Someone ran to my side and began cutting the ropes that held me bound. Strangely, it was a masked figure- a she and carefully but quickly, she cut the ropes on my friends and my mum and we all ran as fast as our legs could carry us. The scene was a mess- God had thrown confusion in their midst and they began attacking themselves immediately my mum's ropes were cut.

After running far away from OET, we stopped to catch our breaths, each of us falling to the floor.

"W-who are you?" I asked breathlessly, wondering how she was able to keep her mask on throughout without suffocating herself. She hesitated a bit then removed her mask.

Eleni!!
