The Aftermath

Diary,

"Wha-what?! How are you here?" Ray asked, eyeing her warily as she sighed, her eyes watery.

"I sorry I scared y'all like that. But I can't explain what happened to me or why I did what I did. I can't explain what came over me that I released y'all but trust me, I don't wanna go back there, please take me with you. The way they started fighting scared me because it has never happened before and they're killing themselves! I don't want to die, please. I saw the way your God saved you. I saw the way you all were so confident even when faced with danger. I want to have that too. I want to serve your God-" she said, breaking down in tears as I patted her shoulder.

"That's okay. God always make a way for His children. Would you want to give your life to Christ now? Do you want to forsake your old ways and turn to Him? Do you need peace and joy in your life?" I asked as she nodded frantically.

"Yes! I'm tired of this bondage! I want freedom and I'll do whatever it takes! I want to be saved. I-I want to have joy and peace too. I'll give my life to Christ." She said as tears of joy clouded my eyes. What a day! Yet what crowned it all was that we were about to receive a soul into God's Kingdom. Without further hesitation, we all held hands and prayed for her. Then I led her in the sinner's prayer.

"Say after me: Lord God, I'm sorry for my sins, I ask that you forgive me and accept me into your kingdom. Please wash my sins away and give me eternal life. Write my name in the book of life, Lord. Make me new and erase my past sins and atrocities. I am ready to serve you all the days of my life, amen." I said as she repeated Amen after me.

"Congratulations Eleni! Welcome to the family of God." Lissa said, hugging her as Eleni burst into tears. We all took turns, congratulating her. She cried for quite a while as we sat together.

"Guys, your God is real! I can't remember the last time I felt like this. I feel so free and i can't describe the joy that i feel right now! My heart is so full i fear it'll burst. Thank you so much Lord, for accepting me. Oh Sandra, Lissa, Anaia, Ray, Tony and Jael- I can't thank you enough for leading me to God. I'm forever grateful." She said, still crying as I hugged her.

"You're welcome Ell. Thanks to God.- Lissa said.

"Why are you so quick in giving people nicknames? What'd you call her?" Tony asked as we all shared in the laughter.

The sun rays shone directly on my face, making me to awake fully as I yawned and stretched my arms. The chirping of the birds, filled the air, creating a sweet melody of nature as I smiled broadly.

What a beautiful day!

Soon, the rest of my group woke up also and we said a prayer, thanking God for preserving us throughout last night and for Eleni's conversion too. Our joy was palpable.

"So, where do we go from here?" Tony asked.

"Let's go to Woodlane town." Mum said simply as we nodded. It was far away on th other side of Ravenshire Island.

"We go northward. " Anaia said as our hiking journey began after a breakfast of fruits- as usual.

After countless hours of walking and resting and walking again, Ray let out a squeal when he sighted the first house.

"Eiiiiii!! We're here! We're here! Hallelujah! "He said, our spirits lifting as we ran into town happily. People scrunched up their noses and shook their heads as we passed by but we didn't care- we were back to town!
